Tino was attempting a champagne tower. That in itself didn't bother Kitty, they'd both done that sort of thing before, but it was the way he was doing it.

"I'm pretty sure if you keep stacking them right on top of each other no liquid's actually getting in the glasses," she pointed out, looking up. "Also you shouldn't need a stepladder."

"Yeah, I know. I ran into him earlier but was still seeing how that went," she said. "Fandom!"

Remy nodded slowly. "Fandom."

He was so much less used to Fandom than Kitty was.

"I need . . . many beers, please."

The multiverse had pruned him. Bah!

"Did this one knock you for a loop?" Kitty asked, getting him the first beer.

"His version of me got pruned from his universe." Just the word 'pruned' made him shudder. "Left behind in a void. I can handle other Gambits being dead. I've killed one myself! But pruned?!"

She was frowning the deepest frown. "...Pruned? Like... what?"

"Like a dead branch." Remy had been silently stewing on this for a bit. "And then . . . thrown away, I guess."
