Midnight Manor kitchen, Friday morning
It was a damp and gross kind of day out, so Remy was staying in. But he wasn't really feeling hanging out in his room all day, despite it being remarkably spacious for a boarding house of this size.
He and the cats were in the kitchen, then, the three felines twining their way around Remy's ankles as he worked on cooking up some classic Louisiana breakfast items.
Excessive amounts of classic Louisiana breakfast items. He'd grown up learning to cook for a large family and then spent not insignificant chunks of his life living at an institute with a communal kitchen. It was possible he didn't know how not to cook excessive amounts of food.
He was still learning how to do it without half of it getting eaten by the cats though.
"You don't even like sweet potatoes," he told Figaro as he shooed him off the counter yet again. "Mon amis, you have your own food right over there."
But their food was way less interesting than his! Surely at least the bacon drippings were for kitties!

"Remy! Hello!"

He vaguely heard what Remy said and looked up in confusion. "Sorry, which one is named Waffle?"

Then he held up a plate. "Waffle."

Not that Steven knew why Lucifer as a cat would be with Remy instead of his partners, but it wasn't as though he wouldn't be welcome if he wanted to pop by in whatever form.

And so long as Steven didn't react to that by electromagnetically throwing one of them, Remy would allow them to do so.
"I bet they'd like that. They seem to enjoy other animals." Remy watched Steven with the cats for a moment, then turned back to the stove. "How you doing, Steven?"

"Huh. Never would have occurred to me to take a class on that," Remy mused. "Who was teaching it? An Avenger, I'm guessing?"

He opened the waffle iron and plated the next waffle.
“Not an Avenger. Kitty is an X-Man. Almost from birth.”

Silly Steven. His nearest canon mate was one of the first people he’d met!
“So how’s Marc holding up? Haven’t seen him in a bit. Half expected a visit after Harley threw me out of the store.”

"Marc's doing well. Wondering if we'll have anyone new come to live." Steven gestured around them, as though Remy couldn't tell he was referring to the boarding house. "Part of why I was doing a walk around just now. Make sure everything's all right."

Steven could hardly blame some of their residents for being less likely to spend time with others when Marc himself hated purposefully being around people.
"But good overall chemistry, I think," Steven said, musing aloud more than anything. "Hopefully that continues."
