Furnado Animal Shelter; Wednesday [09/18].
It was Fish Tank Cleaning Day! And Prompto had played around with the idea of having Noctra help him out with that particular task, but he might be getting way ahead of himself on that one. Too many little pieces and various things going on and chemicals and what not that, yeah, definitely not going to risk anything there, even if he would love the extra help. But if he was going to do it, he either had to wait until she took her nap or find something to make her feel like she was engaged and helping, because if her dad was doing something, you can guarantee that she was wanting to do it, too!
The solution? Fish tank decorating! While Prompto worked on the active ones, he found a big, unused one that was nice and big and not something she could easily climb out of, and gave her a bunch of toys and things to 'decorate' the tank with. "We're gonna make a really nice home for some of the fishies, okay? I'm going to work on my stuff, and you can figure out how you want this one to look like, okay? For all the fishies?"
"Ishieth?" she asked, from inside the tank, having already draped plastic seaweed over her head, and looking up at Prompto with big, bright eyes. And then she puffed out her cheeks and put her hands to her face to move them like fins or gils and started 'blub blub'-ing and then just scooting around the big tank....like a fish.
...and you know what? That worked too, and reminded Prompto that he should look into swimming lessons for her at some point (after extensively researching what age was best for that kind of thing!) and really wishing Sidon was still around, and not even for the usual reasons he wished that on Fish Tank Cleaning Day!
