Needful Things, Tuesday
Logan -- Remy's Logan, the properly short one -- had happened to be coming through Baltimore last night, so Remy had gone out drinking with him. He had to tell him all about his weirdly tall doppelganger, after all! And, well. Remy had a bad habit of trying to keep up with the Wolverine when they went out drinking, and for once they hadn't been interrupted by ninjas or assassins or ninja assassins, so Remy had ended up housed.
Yeah, he wasn't sure why he'd tried to come to work today in this condition, either.
He had his head down on the sales desk, a damp washcloth over his eyes, and was hoping for a nice, slow day. And, well, uhhhhh . . . have a sale on antique boozy stuff. Sure.
[open! And only SORT OF method RP!]

That loud and unnecessarily stompy noise was Harley coming down the stairs from the apartment above.

Not that Harley even knew he was there before she made it into the actual store through the back. "Frenchie? You look like shit!"
She sounded unapologetically gleeful about that, of course.
"I can only hope it was a rough night, too."

"Hate to crush your hopes, chef. I was out with a friend."

The ensuing sound was very... chime-y. Lots of things clinking together, and not just once, either.

She flicked one of the chimes with her fingers, with great precision.

But he wasn't, so he just rolled his eyes. (And immediately regretted it.)
"Am I fired?"
no subject
To what had been... very clearly a yes/no question.

If Harley sounded all too cheerful about saying that, it was only because as soon as she moved, she carelessly kicked another thing that made a great big annoying noise.

"I'm a professional thief, Harley," he grumbled. "I don't set off traps."
no subject
Sorry, Remy.
"Like, sure you're a professional, but so am I."

He picked his head up just far enough to give her a Look.
"Then try harder next time." He managed a small smile. "Lot harder. Now I know it's coming."
