Thor was, it seemed, getting into the spirit of spooky season with the specials tonight.

He wasn't asking what Tiny was doing with all that celery. He clearly had some artistic vision but it hadn't come together enough for Thor to recognize it.

Gladio, for one, was...well, gladio to come in and see that Tiny was in the midst of....some new creative endeavor. He gave him an approving nod and a thumbs up, with an accompanying, "Nice job, Tiny. Keep up the good work!" before settling into his usual spot at the bar with a grin for Thor.

Then he nodded toward the specials board. "You probably can guess by now what I'm gonna ask about those," he said.

"They are all classic cocktails," Thor told him. "Blood is, I assure you, a purely optional ingredient." It would probably ruin most of the flavor profiles, but if a Nephilim or Eric came in, hey, the customer was always right.

Gladio nodded. "Figured it doesn't hurt to check," he said, grin faintly crooked since he wasn't really worried about it, even if he were to start coming in on Mondays again. "What's that middle one, though? I'm familiar with the other two..."

Thor glanced over at the board to check which one he'd put in the middle. "Ah. The Blood & Sand. Named for a Valentino film, I believe." You couldn't go wrong with Valentino. "Blood orange juice, cherry liqueur, sweet vermouth, and scotch," he informed Gladio. "It's a rare mixed drink that includes scotch, apparently." Or so the internet had told him.

"I don't know anything about this Valentino person," Gladio admitted, marking it as something to maybe look into, "but that sounds pretty good, actually. I'll take one of those.

"And how's your week been, Thor? Any big surprises over the weekend?"

Not that he knew anything about that kind of thing!

"He was an actor," Thor volunteered as he started gathering ingredients. "In the early era of the humans' motion pictures. Very popular with the ladies, as I understand it...and no, my weekend was quiet. If anyone had visited it would have been quite the surprise indeed."

"Yeah, well," Gladio snorted, "around here, there's always surprises. Because aid have said the same thing, but then who comes prancing on up to me on Friday but the sister I haven't seen for two whole years because the way back home has been blocked me, like it was nothing.

"Coulda knocked me over with a feather."

Thor paused in contemplation with one hand on the cocktail shaker, and Don said, Admit it. You wouldn't be all that surprised if Loki showed up.

Thor just grunted in response, because reminding Don that his brother was dead would require likewise announcing that fact to Gladio, and regardless of said fact...no, he would not be very surprised if Loki showed up.

Instead he said as he started pouring ingredients, "How fortuitous for you. You must have been very happy to see her."

And something about that grunt reminded Gladio that a topic like this was one that rubbed even him pretty hard until just recently, and that he should be more careful not to let his own good news go trouncing over anyone else's potential sore subject. So his softened grin almost came off a little apologetic.

"Happy doesn't even seem to cover it," he admitted. "It's been nearly a week now, and it's still hard to wrap my head around it. Turns out she even got voted president, they've been working on a democracy, sounds like there's been some big changes on Eos since we've been gone."

Thor's eyebrow went up at that. "President," he said, impressed. "You must be very proud." Asgard was nowhere near working on a democracy. He didn't think its magic would stand it...if he could get it to exist again, of course. "I hope you will be able to see your sister again sooner, rather than later, if that is your wish." It probably was. Most people weren't related to Loki.
