The Devil's Nest, Tuesday Night
Duke wasn't openly suffering anymore. In fact, he seemed like he was in an altogether good mood most of the time.
That was a great smokescreen for Lucifer to privately nurse his own complicated, hurt feelings about the whole thing. Frankly, there was only one thing better: an actual smoke screen.
Which was to say he'd purchased some fog machines in a wild impulse. The Devil's Nest was currently very atmospherically foggy, with clouds drifting around the stage while Lucifer plowed his way through some of The Cure's more recent material on the piano.
