Sushi Station, Thursday Evening

Miss Skywalker had spoken to Lydia of her fondness for sushi, so on that sterling recommendation she had selected Sushi Station for tonight's meeting of the Supper Club. She thought the little conveyor belt that the plates traveled on was quite charming, though she hadn't had the opportunity yet to examine the food in real detail.

Boy, was she in for a surprise.

She had sent out a handwavey message to the members of Supper Club , letting them know where to come this week, and hoped that word would make it to any new faces who might wish to join them.

Well, well, well. And so it would seem that someone would have a chance to whip out those chopsticks yet again this week!

For the shashimi exclusively, of course. What kind of amateur did you take Ignis for?

Either way, he was rather fond of sushi as a whole, and he'd be lying if he said he wasn't eager to see just how some of their more time-displaced or still culturally exploring members of the club would take to this particular style of cuisine.

A delicious meal and, no doubt, excellent entertainment. What more could one ask for?

How about fantastic company? Because that was what he was getting with a slender arm sliding through his, chill fingers resting on his forearm. "You know," she said thoughtfully, if we're going to continue to visit restaurants that use them, perhaps I should also look into owning my own set.

...and learning to use them correctly, not that she was going to say that out loud.

And you know what, she had the fun chopsticks this week. An idle google search leading to finding out they had a close approximation of what she used meant that she really had no other choice.

But Flint was here, mentally mispronouncing sushi, and looking around the decor with interest.

She was, unlike Flint, mentally pronouncing sushi correctly, but only because she'd heard Miss Skywalker say it first.

Hmm. Liliana might have to inveigle Ignis to give her proper chopstick lessons soon if they were going to continue to go places wherein they were intended to be the primary utensil.

Not that she would ever argue against sushi, mind.

As the person who suggested this place, Rey felt a little responsible for anything that might happen.

But she was also taking a plate off the belt without even looking at what it was because she may be the least picky person you've ever known.

"Do we perhaps...select what we want and then they cook it?" Lydia asked, overoptimistically. The way the dishes were assembled seemed to suggest that was not how it worked.
