The Devil's Nest, Thursday Evening
Thor was trying to place an order for some spirits for Halloween.
No, not that kind of spirits. The kind you normally found in a bar.
"If you can't get it in black then the effect can easily be achieved with food dye--no, not activated charcoal. What is wrong with you, man? Do you have any idea how many medications that stuff interacts with?" Look who remembered some things from med school!
Specials
Hemlock
Witch's Heart
Wolf Bite
"Activated charcoal, honestly," Thor could be heard muttering behind the bar. "'Oh, but it's natural!' So is hemlock." He cast a look toward the specials board and amended that to, "Real hemlock."
The specials continue to be spooky, and the Devil's Nest is open!

Pam strolled into the bar wearing her green overalls, her hair pulled up in a no-nonsense ponytail. If she was going to be here for any amount of time, she might as well know the local bars - to get the lay of the land, if nothing else.

"...I expected you to be wider," she said.

She watched him go through the motions. "So what brings a Norse God to a club on a tiny multiversal island?"

He wasn't much of a drinker, no, but just a shot, especially for him, would be a comically teeny amount.
"Started some of my own finally, too," he informed him. "Assuming I didn't mess it up too bad, sounds like in a few months, we'll get to see how I did.
"And I've been good, thanks. Looking forward to a nice week away on the school trip, really."

We'd have to get out more for that.
Thor was just ignoring that helpful commentary.

"Doing just fine, thanks, Thor," he said, leaning his elbows against the bar. "Splitting time between the mainland and the cats, mostly."
With the occasional side trip to angrily glare at people messing with his neighbors.

She sipped her tea. "Mind you," she added, "I didn't say it was a nice high."
Unless you were into restlessness on various and increasingly terrible levels.
