Taste of Thai, Thursday Evening

Lydia had found herself having to choose between El Burrito Loco and Taste of Thai for tonight's meeting of the Supper Club, and she knew from Professor Raiden's class last week that Mexican cuisine was often rather spicier than she enjoyed, so she had decided upon Thai food instead.

Boy, was she in for a surprise.

Oh. Well. Clearly thr chopsticks needed to make another appearance tonight,and Ignis was looking forward to inquiring about spicier dishes he hadn't perhaps tried yet, in hopes that he might be a bit inspired for a new recipeh to add to his roster of go-tos for Prompto.

"Ah, Captain Flint." Ignis met the greeting with a small smile and a nod of acknowledgement his way. "Good evening. Rather difficult for it not to ne when there's sure to be good food and good company, I should think. I trust you're doing well?"

"Professor Scientia! So pleased you could join us! Is this...another cuisine which uses chopsticks? I hadn't realized." Lydia was going to have to learn to use chopsticks, wasn't she?

Or she would just continue to muddle through with a fork. Probably that.

"Not traditionally, no," Ignis was quick to reassure her, "but I do rather find them a bit more convenient for certain noodle dishes, many Thai offerings included. In this instance, it is purely a matter of personal preference."

He also just liked to show off, let's be so for real right now.

"And how are you, Miss Bennet? Have you had good week?"

This was another place Rey knew pretty well, though she didn't need to look at the menu to know what she wanted. Pad Thai. It was pad Thai.

She was looking to see if there were any appetizers she should encourage newbies to try, though.

“It’s a martini with lychee in it,” Yelena said holding it up. “It’s not half bad really but I wouldn’t call it a martini by any means.”

Lydia was oblivious to a bit of ladylike brooding and greeted Yelena with, "Miss Belova! Good evening! Are you familiar with the Thai cuisine?" Lydia really hoped someone was.

“It’s good to see you again Lydia. I mean Miss Bennet! Sorry! I’ve a few dishes from time to time,” Yelena admitted with a smile. “I usually just go with a phad Thai but I’m feeling like I need to change things up and try something different. How about yourself?”

She feared that one of these weeks he would not, and they would find him starved to death amongst his books. If her father had not had Hill looking after him and Lydia's mother fretting, it would likely have been his fate long ago.
