El Burrito Loco, Thursday Evening

Lydia had sent out the appropriate messages to the usual attendees of Supper Club, and hoped they had gotten the news to anyone she had missed or anyone new who might be interested in attending about this week's destination, and now here she was at El Burrito Loco, hoping that someone could tell her and her Regency English taste buds which menu items went extremely easy on the chile peppers.

Was it the supper club that brought Dean to El Burrito Loco or just tacos?

Look, it didn't matter. He was here and there were tacos. That's all that mattered.

"Haven't seen you here before," Rey greeted him.

Maybe he was here the first week!

"Well, I usually order out but the tacos here are quite good," Dean said being absolutely clueless. "Is this a party for someone?"

"It's Supper Club. Just a group of people who try a different place every week," Rey explained. "This is actually exactly how I ended up in it."

"You show up randomly and people were here?" Dean mused. "I can dig it."

"Yes. And you'll be welcome to come again," she smiled.

"Good evening!" Lydia said to the new face. "Welcome to our little supper club!"

"This is a club?" Dean asked. "We have clubs for supper? Man, I need to get out more. I'm Dean. Have we met?"

"We've been trying out the various restaurants on the island every Thursday," Lydia explained. "Next week shall be an off week, on account of your holiday, though."

Lydia couldn't remember if they had met or not--sorry, Dean, but she didn't pay that much attention to men of your advanced age--so she was just going to assume they had not. "I am pleased to introduce myself as Miss Lydia Bennet, sir, as I do not believe we have." Yes, that was a curtsey.

Maybe it was the name or the curtsey but immediately Dean snapped his fingers. "That's right! I met you at JGOB that one time where what's his name... Boc? Yeah, Boc was there getting a cinnamon roll."

Of course he was getting a cinnamon roll. It was Boc.

"I like the idea of a club that eats. Then again I like to eat."

"Oh, yes, of course," Lydia said. "I recall now. I believe Mr. Boc is there most Sundays." She used to be, and then she stopped even pretending to go to church. She should probably at least try to correct her behavior...

"I must confess it was my idea. I had never tried most of the food available here before, so I didn't know what to eat. I thought others might be in the same boat, or at least need an excuse to gather with their neighbors." Cough Flint cough.

"Ah, Dean," Ignis attention shifted his way a little once the voice, indeed, did strike an unmistakable chord. "Isn't this a rather unexpected addition."

"Yeah, well I was just in the mood for tacos and here I am," Dean said with a grin. "Hooray for serendipity. How's it going Ignis?"

"Hooray indeed," Ignis agreed easily, feeling quite often that he had far more than just tacos to thank serendipity for, really. "And it goes quite well, thank you. I feel confident that Liliana's birthday week can be wrapped up to great success and applause, especially not that tonight's culinary venture is reminding me it's been a bit too long since we've had a nice weekend away in Argentina. And yourself?"

Here, he couldn't help a small smile from slipping out.

"Chair not giving you too much trouble, is it? And no doubt you're feeling quite pleased to be feeling more like yourself again?
