There hadn't been any servants around this morning, so Thor had had to get himself ready with the advice, if not assistance, of what he had decided was not a dread spirit but rather his imaginary friend Don.

Despite finding being relegated to imaginary friend status kind of hurtful (though he found tiny Thor adorable and hoped someone got pictures), Don, not trusting tiny Thor in the kitchen at all, had directed him to the bakery, and so there was a tiny prince of Asgard inspecting the baked goods on display thoughtfully, trying to pick the very best one(s) with which to break his fast.

I don't suppose you can lift Mjolnir like this. Actually, from what Don remembered of its history, Mjolnir shouldn't have existed yet, but Thor didn't bat an eye at the question.

"Oh, no. I'm probably centuries off from that."

Great. Maybe it wouldn't last long? What about the blueberry muffin?

"Hmmmmmm..."

J,GoB is open, and currently hosting a very small prince of Asgard and his 'imaginary friend' for breakfast.

(OOC: For those who can see ghosts and such, Don will be tagging along with Thor in his (glowy and transparent) spirit form for the weekend, the better to at least try to supervise!)

Anakin, who had never sat down and thought about anything, said, "Huh."

"What?" Liliana asked, looking down at the small child whose name she'd not yet asked.

(She wasn't good with children, no.)

"I have never thought about my opinions," Anakin said, pronounced everything carefully. "But I don't have a lot of 'em."

"Really?" Okay, this Liliana had to hear. "You don't? What are some of the ones you do have, then."

Anakin shrugged. "When I can sleep? Mom tells me but I don't have to. What I do with my time after I'm done at Sebulba's."

Yep, he had a job! At nine! Where he wasn't paid! What a wonderful canon he had.

"And now which breakfast pastries to eat," Liliana pointed out. "What is a 'Sebulba'?"

"He's a Dug," Anakin said. "He owns my mom and me. I work in his fix-it shop."

Liliana didn't know what a Dug was, but the rest she could follow just fine. "You must be very clever," she told him. "To work in a shop like that. He owns you and your mother?"

"I am very clever," Anakin said. "I can fix almost anything. And Watto it was always Watto I'm very tired won us in a podracing bet from Gardulla the Hutt."

Who saw anything different? Not I!

"He won you from a house?!"

And people thought things in the MTGverse were oddly named!

"Huh?" Anakin said. "No, a Hutt. Two t's."

"I'm afraid I only know what a hut with one t is, darling," Liliana drawled.

"Lucky," Anakin said. "Hutts are mean."

"I'm meaner," Liliana assured him. "You just haven't seen me be mean yet."

"Oooooh," Anakin said. "Who can you be mean to?"

Liliana laughed. "Anyone I want, darling. Though you really ought to hope the answer isn't 'little boys who lick all the pastries and leave none for Lilianas.'"

Anakin stared at her for a long moment, carefully assessing, and then smiled. "I'm not afraid of you."

"Little boys are often foolish," Liliana said with a smile, fixing her purple gaze on him. "And make poor decisions about when and to whom they trust with their safety."

The same kid who would go on to find a Sith Lord to choose as a mentor shook his head. "I think I'm right."

"Of course you do," Liliana told him. "You're a child and children are stupid."

These were just facts, okay?

"And notoriously terrible judges of character."

[sith_happened]

"Hey!" Anakin said, frowning.

[deathsmajesty]

"I could be meaner," Liliana said. "I could be insisting you eat a bran muffin."

He was only a child, Lili, god.

"Is that what it is?" Anakin asked. "It smells suspicious."

[deathsmajesty]

"Oh, so you don't trust muffins, but you trust me?" Liliana snorted. "See? That's what I meant about children."

Sure! He shouldn't be trusting bran muffins! But also! More scared of her!

Anakin shrugged. "Watto's meaner."
