Rey was a big fan of the decorations in town, and the powdered sugar snow made things look really pretty with a bonus of not having to worry about ice and wet boots.

The downside was that anytime she put her head down to work, little flakes of powdered sugar fell from her hair, and she was quickly learning it had been the wrong day to wear all black. But! Outside it looked pretty!

"Neither can I," Summee admitted, with her sigh now gone exasperated and she shook her head. "Meanwhile, my mom's were, like, tolerating at best and Rick is always a dick and the whole thing was so painfully awkward I almost wished something did actually attack us. Honestly, though, the important thing is it's over, and I got at Get Out of Christmas Free card."

"Good. And should you ever need to get out of a holiday- if you think it would work- I could always call with a galactic crisis and need your help," she offered.

"Hmmm," Summee squinted a little as she thought about it. "Potentially risky. Space Mom might be tempted to help, but also, Space Mom would probably think it was hilarious when she found out it was fake, so....I....might actually take you up on that offer, actually."

Rey smiled. "And if need be I can always put her to work helping me look for artifacts or whatever anyway."
