The Devil's Nest, Thursday Evening
People thought this was cold? Bah. When it hit negative 30, then perhaps Thor would take a chill.
Don had informed Thor that this sort of thing was not helpful, but had agreed that Thor losing his shirt would be both in accordance with the bar's traditions and, perhaps, cheering for the patrons.
Tiny had been told to keep his shirt on, and was sulking about it. You're welcome.
Specials
Snowflake Martini
White Russian
Nor'Easter
'Sex on a Snowbank'? That doesn't sound like a good idea, Don said as Thor continued to study themed cocktails on his phone.
"Indeed," Thor agreed quietly. "I believe that would lead to frostbite in unfortunate places."
The Devil's Nest is open, and the bartender is talking to himself. His other self. You know how it is.

and was at work 6 or 7 more hours soband it had been a while since he'd stopped in to this bar. It seemed as good as time as any. And he hadn't really seen Thor since Thor had been tiny and accompanied by a nanny ghost. Or something. He wasn't sure and it wasn't really his concern.Shirtless Thor was just a bonus. Stark was happily taken and had only one eye but he wasn't blind!
"Hello, Thor. Are any of the specials warm?"

"No, I'll try something on the board." That was part of the point of coming in. To try new drinks. And socialize.
"What's a nor'easter? Does it involve chocolate eggs?"
It was too early for that!

Because it's got Easter in it, Don helpfully pointed out.
"Oh. No."

Chocolate would be better but Chocolate almost always was.
"How are you?"
Besides magically immune to cold weather.

What a wimp. Winter had barely begun!
"I don't like the cold." Even though it gave him the excuse to wear his stylish Muppet-skin coat.
"But good, other than that. Classes started again, which helps keep me busy."
no subject
"You teach at the school, yes?" Thor checked.
no subject
Oh. That meant he had a birthday soon at least?
"And, yes. I teach. Sometimes. Often, I suppose. This time about cupcakes. In the fall it was field trips to food-related places. And I work in the clinic, on Mondays."

"Hey, Thor, Tiny," he greeted with a nod to each bartender as he settled in and scoped out the specials board with a tilt of his head. "I think I can guess on all except that last one. What's that one all about?"
no subject
"Hello, Gladio. Doing all right?"
no subject
"Oh, hey, Stark," he said, lifting a hand in a wave and giving him a nod. "Doin' better'n allright, I'd say. How 'bout you?"
no subject
"Good, good." Stark nodded. "I'm... I'm doing well too. Do you have a class again this time? I've got cupcakes. Again." A tragic lack of field trips coming up!

"I'll have cupcakes tomorrow," he said. "The class and actual ones for eating. If you'd like some? I'm always happy to share."

It's the Puritan influence, Don suggested.
"Indeed," Thor agreed, and told Gladio, "I believe the region was settled by a group that eschewed alcohol." Their loss.
