Don had woken up that morning, looked at the weather on his phone, declared, "Absolutely not," and tapped out of reality entirely. The void was cold. It wasn't this cold.

That was fine, though. Thor could appreciate a brisk chill! He'd had no qualms about venturing forth in search of a drink, and greeted Eric with a loud, "Friend Eric!" as he entered the bar.

"Thor!" Eric said, beaming. "Someone who will appreciate my vision!"

Tiny, who didn't, rolled his eyes.

"Indeed!" Thor agreed. "You are merely celebrating the natural conditions!" It wasn't his fault if the mortals were too fragile to appreciate said conditions.

"What's not to like about ice and cold?" asked the vampire who'd moved to Louisiana on purpose a hundred years ago.

Presumably if one spent enough summers amongst the swamps the ice and cold regained some of their charms that might otherwise have faded.

"Much," Thor had to admit, "for some. But they are merely not properly prepared or appreciative. All of the seasons are necessary parts of life, and should be given their due, I think."
