The Magpie Emporium, Thursday (3/6)
The first thing that greeted Steph when she came in to open the store this morning was Little Bot, proudly beeping his way up to her with a miniature satellite dish made of foil and worn-out paintbrush handles perched atop his chassis. Peering over the railing of the upstairs gaming area were several gremlins clearly surveying their handiwork and occasionally glancing at her for any signs of approval.
You know what, she wasn't asking. "Thanks for giving me my theme for the day," she told them instead, and went to set up a display of space themed games.
At one point she could have sworn she saw a large metal eye go soaring over the shelves yelling about loving space, but when she looked again it wasn't there.
That was far from the weirdest thing that had ever happened in here, so she was just going to let it slide. Whatever.
