Most of the things at the front of the store this week were green; Boc wasn't sure when that happened, as the store's stock seemed to have a mind of its own, but he did rather like it. Green was such a fresh, lovely color, so it was pleasing to see.
One of the employees explained to him that it was for something called St. Patrick's Day, which was how Boc wound up with a glittery green top hat today instead of his usual well-worn cap, especially since if snakes in Ireland were anything like the ones he'd heard about in the Lands Between, it was a good thing to avoid them!
