Il Pollo, Thursday Evening

It seemed that the Supper Club's rotation of restaurants had, happily, brought them back to where they began. As she already had some familiarity with the menu, she did want to try something different this week, although she was definitely still getting the tiramisu.

She wondered what her friends would decide upon, and if anyone new would show up this week. Finding out was part of the fun!

Rey had come here today with a mission: to know what she was going to get. Every week she had trouble choosing and she wasn't doing that again.

"Miss Skywalker!" Lydia greeted her warmly. "Have you made up your mind for tonight?" Please have made up your mind, Rey, it would help Lydia make up hers.

"I did! And then I walked in," Rey admitted. "It's getting to be a problem."

"Yes, everything looks delicious," Lydia agreed, because it was a problem that she shared. "I am definitely getting the tiramisu, though," she said, unknowingly echoing her prior narrative, because tiramisu was that important.

Now that she was pretty sure it wasn't weird.

The tiramisu was a must. Always.

But even if they were treading familiar ground with the restaurant choice this week, that didn't mean there wasn't an expansive menu still to explore, and Ignis really just had to decide what sort of mood he might be in this evening. Perhaps a nice fruit di mare?

And not just because it might wind up being an interesting turn of phrase to explain to some of the less experienced fellow Supper clubbers.

"Professor Scientia," Lydia greeted him with a little curtsey. "Do you have anything in mind for tonight, sir? It's so nice to be somewhere a bit more familiar in that regard, don't you think?"

"Miss Bennet." The implied curtsey in her tone was met with a bow of his head. "I will admit, it does make things a slight bit easier with regards to both travel and a familiarity with the menu. Which is why I believe I'm leaning toward some sort of frutti di mare, a little tiramisu afterwards. And yourself? Anything in particular catching your taste buds?"

"Yes, that was the idea," Lydia said with a nod. "It gives everyone the opportunity to explore the menu more, and it's a bit easier to get to. Some of us are not accustomed to the automobiles yet, you know." She was one of the some of us.

"I'm afraid I can't quite decide what to order," she admitted. "Everything sounds delicious, and it smells so good in here. I thought I might ask the waitstaff for a recommendation, if I can't make up my mind in short order, although I shall also be partaking of the tiramisu."

The smile on Ignis' face twitched a little ruefully at the mention of automobiles; as much as he appreciate the fact that Liliana had gone and gotten accustomed to them for his sake, he did quite often miss being behind the wheel himself. But that was neither here nor there nor nothing to truly dwell on in that moment.

"I feel to visit an establishment such as this without indulging in some tiramisu is quite nearly a crime," he stated, which set that smile more steadily again. "But perhaps, this time around, something a little lighter, a citrus or pesto, to celebrate the fresh arrival of spring just around the corner? If I might offer my own recommendation to sway your consideration as well."

"Mister Scientia," Flint said with a tiny smile. "Good evening, sir."

"Ah, Captain Flint." Did Ignis hear that small smile in the other man's voice, ans thus returned it in kind as he nodded? Or was it simply a measure of his current good mood? Perhaps it was, in truth, both. "Good evening to you, as well. I trust your week has not been too taxing?"

"I made a drink and named it for myself," Flint said with a smile. "It wasn't very taxing. And yourself?"

"Quite the opposite of taxing, really," Ignis admitted, with a small laugh that seemed to really show the proof in that statement, "so that's been rather nice. I got to try the drink that Liliana made for her own namesake last night, as well. It's enough to make me wish I'd taken part in the whole scheme for myself. May I ask what yours might be? Or should I just find my way to Caritas soon and order one and discover it that way?"

Flint really enjoyed the trips where he didn't have to be afraid of automobiles, and he was almost smiling as he arrived.

The less said about the automobiles, the better, which was why Lydia just ignored the hell out of them as she did anything inconvenient to her. "Captain Flint, welcome, sir!"

"Miss Bennet," Flint said, inclining his head in greeting. "Have you decided Italian cuisine is your favorite?"

"Oh, no, I have not quite made up my mind yet," Lydia assured him. "Though it is far in the running ahead of some of the cuisines that make such liberal use of the chili pepper," she added in an undertone, lest Thai food hear her and be offended. "But it does have much to recommend it, does it not?"
