Mystery Sign Theater 3000, Monday
So that had been a weird time in Wakanda. In part, of course, because of the aftermath of what had originally kept Bucky from going back when he'd originally planned to, which had turned out to be essentially an attempted coup.
But mostly it had been because of what had happened back on the island because he hadn't been able to leave for Wakanda when he'd tried to. Which was... Jesse. Jesse had happened. And it should have been the sort of thing to drive him to Jesse's doorstep first thing after he got through his portal in the morning, but, instead, it was the kind of thing that sent him to the movie theater instead. Because. You know. There'd been island interference. And maybe he shouldn't read too much into anything under Fandom influence. On her side.
Because he knew what his non-Fandom-influenced thoughts were on his side, pretty damn clear even in their unfamiliarity. But, that didn't mean she'd feel the same about it.
So.
Movie theater.
(His birthday had also come and gone, a week ago. He wouldn't even had noticed if Steve hadn't shown up with some kind of sweet traditional Wakandan pastry for a cake.
He did not even know for sure anymore how old he was.)
