Rey's warehouse- Friday late afternoon

It had been decided that Juliet and Christopher would come to the warehouse today, because they should get to do some stuff and Rey needed some training in training. Plus, it would probably do the good to realize just how extra their father was.

Once they'd been sent home, Rey noted, "i don't think that went too badly. No one ended up in lava."

The quicksand was another story.

Anakin let out a long sigh and flopped back against the floor. "Christopher is exhausting."

"He wasn't bad," Rey said, though she'd say that anyway in front of his dad, probably. "...Quicksand aside."

"He did only jump into it once," Anakin replied.

[thatwaslucky]

"And it wasn't hard to get him out," she added.

"I think he just wanted to see what would happen," Anakin said.

Rey paused. "I'd be lying if I didn't wonder what would happen if someone fell in before I saw it for the first time."

Anakin grinned. "That might be why I installed it," he admitted.

"It's not why you put in the lava, is it?" Rey checked.

[sith_happened]

"No, that was a warning for the woodchucks," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"Hasn't worked so well," she pointed out.

[sith_happened]

"They fear nothing," Anakin griped.

[thatwaslucky]

"Which is possibly a good thing for wildlife in Fandom," she said. "...If they're wildlife at this point."

[sith_happened]

"I'm not sure most of the wildlife is all that wild by now," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"What, do animals elsewhere not run speakeasies?" she asked dryly.

[sith_happened]

"I've heard that no, no they don't," Anakin replied just as dryly.

[thatwaslucky]

"Weird," she said, and then asked, "How do you think I did?"

Probably not terrible?

Anakin smiled. "You did very well. They're very strong personalities."

[thatwaslucky]

"Fun, though," she said with a smile. "I did worry I'd ruin them in one afternoon."

[sith_happened]

"Oh, they're made of stronger stuff than that," Anakin assured her.

[thatwaslucky]

"You underestimate my nervousness," she admitted.

[sith_happened]

"I wouldn't offer my children if I thought you would fail," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"I know. I guess that when I stopped being in my own head about myself, I started about how I related to everyone else."

It only took her.... years to stop being hard on herself. It was fine.

Anakin sent a pulse of reassurance through the Force. "I wouldn't let you train them if there was any doubt."

She appreciated that.

"Does everyone get nervous when training people? I know Kanan was when I started."

[sith_happened]

"I don't know about everyone, but I know that our family, with its particular history, steps into teaching with a certain amount of trepidation," Anakin said.
