The Magpie Emporium, Thursday (3/27)
With her favorite actual-play series between campaigns Steph might have felt a bit at loose ends and tried to fill the void by arguing with people on Reddit. Luckily(?) for everyone, though, she had her hands full when the ceiling started leaking over the cat-themed games shelf and she had to scramble to move everything out of the way -- including an indignant Saffron who had been sleeping atop said shelf and was certain Food Human had done this on purpose -- while on the phone to get a repair person out and finding a bucket to put underneath the leak.
Which, she reflected as she texted Vi to inform her of the situation because Vi would frown at her so hard if she didn't, was really cutting into her chance to catch up on a few other APs. Damn.

As it was, she offered Steph the cookies and a hug.

"That's good to hear," Vi said, nuzzling Steph's temple.
The betrayal.

"Repair person should be coming this afternoon, so hopefully we can get everything back in order by tonight." Steph leaned up to steal a kiss. "Hi."
no subject
"Hi." Vi smiled into the kiss, soft and sweet. "We can always stay late if we need to."
no subject
"Hopefully we won't need to." Steph let go of her, but only so she could dig a cookie out of the bag and take a bite. "I do get to watch you move the furniture back later though, right?"
no subject
"You know that I am always down to move furniture for you," Vi said, slinging her arm over Steph's shoulders.
no subject
"One of the many reasons I love you," Steph said as she snuggled into Vi's side, holding up the cookie so she could take a bite. "Missed you. How was class?"
no subject
Completely ignoring Saffron's dramatics, Vi leaned in take that bite, chewing thoughtfully before replying. "Relaxing."
And if you thought Vi described her Thursday class any other way you clearly hadn't been paying attention.

Saffron made a sad little whining noise.
"Aw, god, that was a cute little squeak."
A squeak? How dare, Food Human.

"I mean half the fun is the fact the teachers clearly don't take their own advice."

"One of them gonna snap one day," Vi said confidently. "Not sure what'll happen after that.
no subject
How dare Food Human feed herself instead of giving Saffron treats, too.
no subject
"I'm hoping for making out," Vi said. "Because you've seen them, right?"
no subject
"Oh yeah," Steph said, waggling her eyebrows as she laughed. "Honestly best way for that to end."
no subject
Vi leaned in to steal another kiss. "Maybe we should give the pirate to invested in our love life a new target."
no subject
"I'm still not over the fucking cake she left on our doorstep," Steph said against Vi's lips, chuckling. "Wonder if she has any more drafts of smutty stories about totally-not-us in the works?"
Don't ask these things, Steph.
no subject
"It was pretty tasty cake, though," Vi said, focusing on the important thing.
Saffron got up just to flop back down dramatically again. There!

She waggled her fingers in Saffron's general direction.
"Aww, look at the comfy kitty."
Sigh, humans.
no subject
Vi rested her chin on Steph's shoulder. "Must be a nice life to be a kitty, just lie in the sun all day."
Her life was suffering! How could Food Human do this to her?
no subject
She offered Vi the rest of her cookie.
"We're jealous of you, Saff, you hear that?"
She only heard you not offering her treats, Food Human.
no subject
Vi grinned and brushed her fingers against Steph's as she took the cookie. "You do have some very excellent priorities," she agreed.
no subject
"You just say that because most of them are you," Steph replied, wrapping both arms around Vi's waist now that her hands were free.
no subject
"Those are very nice, but they weren't the priorities I was talking about," Vi said with a shameless leer and waggle of her eyebrows as she leaned in against Steph.
