You know that thing that happens when you put in an Instacart order for 4 bananas and the ~~man~~ person doing your shopping gets you 4 bunches of bananas instead? Zoe was certain she'd ordered 10 bouquets of flowers for decorations, and yet some ~~man~~ person had sent 10 boxes of flowers with 10 bouquets each instead, so now the dance theme was just flowers, flowers everywhere, please take some flowers as you leave if your allergies can handle it. This was what she got for testing shipping through Portalocity, clearly.

At least the food order had been normal, and the drinks were untainted, so it was time for a dance!

Show off those lovely outfits!

Sometimes, the occasion called for something of a ballgown. Belle usually went with darker shades of blue but she'd liked this one.

Arden had listened to Gray and had decided to go with the very, uhh, boobtastic gown for the spring fling. She showed up on Cal's arm, eyebrows raised at all the flowers.

"I guess they sure did go with a theme," she said, unaware that a ~~man~~ mixup had been involved.

Cal was glad to have decorations to look at, because it kept him from letting his eyes fall somewhere else they kept being drawn to. "It looks pretty and fancy, so you're a good match," he said, giving her arm a squeeze. "I've been practicing my dance moves so I don't embarrass either of us."

"So long as we have fun, that's what matters," Arden said, leaning in to give him a kiss on the cheek.

Which did have the side effect of pressing the front of her gown against his arm while she did. Just saying.

But she did have to ask, "...Practice them how?"

He was just going to need a second to collect himself, everything was fine, really!

"BD found videos for me to follow. I'm still not sure letting him access the internet was a good idea, but it's worked well so far."

Arden was very that Cal knew, at best, three-quarters of what BD got up to on the internet. "This just means we have to dancing more."

"Is that a thing you'd like to do?" Cal asked nervously. "I'd definitely like that if it's something you want to do."

Arden bit back a smile. "Should we see how it goes tonight before we make any plans?"

Lydia still felt that a new ballgown for every dance was beyond her, even if it seemed to be the done thing in this era and was the sort of thing she'd dreamed of as a girl, but she had splurged on a new dress for this dance, since her red gown didn't quite feel the thing for spring. (La, that rhymed!) So she had a new pink dress, and was feeling quite pretty, if she did say so herself.

Safe and non-alcoholic, for now.

All the latest hits, some oldies for the chaperones, and some slow songs for a special time.

The more adultier-adults these days. In age, not maturity.

Lana was happy to chaperone, since she got to people watch.

She'd be happy to pick you up by the scruff if you were misbehaving, though. She was in a simple, long dress that had been one of the "springiest" things she'd found.

Jon was very mature! Too mature, probably.

He was in a grey suit with a sage green waistcoat that the man in the store had told him was stylish. It wasn't tailored, but it fit fairly well, just a little big in the...well, everything.

It was ironed, but somehow it still looked rumpled. Or maybe that was just Jon.

*does a little salsa dance*
