No, Lydia hadn't chosen the island's Mexican restaurant for this week's Supper Club in a belated nod to Cinco de Mayo. She didn't even know what that was, don't be silly. She might have chosen it entirely at random, to be honest, but now that she was here she was considering finding out what the big deal was about 'nachos.'

Liliana laughed, delighted by his answer, a better one than she'd anticipated. And followed that laugh up with a kiss, full of heat and promise. Later.

That 'ever' was a promise, too.

And it was certainly a promise that had some weight to it now more than ever, a weight that tugged at his heart and pulled Ignis closer to Liliana as he kissed her back with his own devout promise and the realization of just how soothing it was tovhear her say it.

"I intend to make sure of it," he murmured, when finally coming up for air.
