J,GoB; Sunday Morning [01/06].
Boc had actually been looking forward to a trip to thr bakery that Sunday. He was actually feeling like indulging in his usual cinnamon roll, but also fruit tart, much to the delight of the staff. He didn't understand why they should even care that he'd have even one pastry, let alone two, but it did feel rather nice that they seemed to approve and it made their day, somehow,a little better.
So, with his two treats, he hobbled over to his corner table to settle in and enjoy his Sunday.
[[ and open, of course, for all your baked goods needs! ]]

Stark was in looking for cookies for tomorrow morning. It just seemed like a good thing to bring to the clinic and he wasn't feeling much like baking today. And the bakery did have an assortment of rainbow goodies in honor of the new month.
"Morning, Boc," he said as he waited for his box of cookies to be filled. "Doing all right?"

"Well enough," Stark said. Which was true enough. "Are you liking the class with Raiden? Breakfast?"

"I...," Boc frowned a moment, not because he didn't like rhe class, but it was a class and dealt with having to leave the shop and he still seemed to find something to be distressed about even in a class about food, so he tried to think of how to best answer.
"It's...different. Than what I'd normally do. But the food is nice, and of course rhe instructor, and I like learning about new foods, even if I'd hate to ruin an egg or risk eating meat. Erm. Are you? Enjoying it as well?"

Other classes maybe not so much.
"Raiden is very good with food."

Even if there was a current tragic and complete lack of hot firefighters to deal with such things.
"There are plenty of people here who could help if something went wrong."

Maybe then they'd finally have a good reason to chase him off! And probably wish they'd done it so much sooner, too!

"No one likes an emergency," Stark pointed out. Well, almost no one anyway. "They'd still be happy to help. I'd help, if I could. Or...maybe Raiden could help you find foods that are less likely to catch fire than others?"
no subject
But he wasn't about to say that, either, and, instead, just tagged his head back and forth. "Oh," he said, "no, no, it's...it's quite alright. I wouldn't want to have to put him through any trouble or extra work on account of me, of all things! Especially when he's nice enough to let me in his class at all! I'm quite content just to learn about some of the food; it's all so different! From what I'm used to, back home, in the Lands Between. There's much to learn, really. I'm lucky just to be able to!"
no subject
"Right, right," Stark nodded. "Sorry. I didn't mean to...sorry."
He shook his head. "There is a lot of food here. I still haven't run out of new things to try.
no subject
"This isn't a new thing," he admitted, "but they seemed pretty happy," at least how he understood happy to mean!, "that I got it anyway."
He did not understand why they staff was so invested in what he ate when he came in, really, and found it equal parts nice and worrying.
Okay, okay, mostly worrying, but a little nice.

"They do like feeding people things in this shop. I think...I think it does make them happy when we like the food. It makes Raiden happy feeding people too. You've tried pizza?"

People were weird. Pineapple was tasty.
"I had some with pickles, recently. I liked that."
