Rey's warehouse- Friday afternoon

Rey hadn't worked with the gravity controls in a while, so she had them turned up while she was trying the course. She blamed the disuse for why it felt so much more difficult than the last time. Of course she would be moving slower, but it was slower than she would have liked.

At least the jumps were a Force thing and she wouldn't end up in lava.

"Hello?" Anakin called, coming into the warehouse. "Rey?"

"Yeah," she called from the course, voice a little strained because this was hard.

Anakin assessed her progress as she worked her way around the course.

[thatwaslucky]

It wasn't her best by far, but she was powering through even when she was weighted down.

The net part, though, that took her a while. The climbing portion was only slightly better.

She wasn't deterred, though, even if she didn't look super pleased when she finished up.

"Not bad," Anakin said with an approving smile.

[thatwaslucky]

"It's not my best," she said, shaking out her arms and shoulders now that they didn't feel weighted down. "But it was a challenge."

"Everything doesn't have to be the best you've ever done," Anakin said. "That's how you learn."

[thatwaslucky]

"Also I had the gravity set really high," she said.

[sith_happened]

Anakin smiled. "I could tell that jumps were taking effort."

[thatwaslucky]

"And those were the easy part," Rey said, wrinkling her nose. "Getting over was easy, actually making the jumps were not."

You try jumping when your knees would rather be touching ground.

Anakin nodded. "It's good to be in practice. Different planets have different gravities."

[thatwaslucky]

"I haven't experienced it yet." Weird how that happened. "Not a fan."

[sith_happened]

"Sometimes it goes the other way and your jumps look very impressive," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"True. And if you turn that up enough, the rest of it gets very annoying," she said.

[sith_happened]

Anakin laughed. "That's very true."

[thatwaslucky]

"Obviously I should be working with this more," she said.

[sith_happened]

"It's a good area to explore now," Anakin agreed.

[thatwaslucky]

"I'm already not looking forward to when I add the weather controls."

Ugh. Gravity and snow.

Or gravity and humidity!

"It builds character," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"I have quite a lot of character."

Eh, she could have more.

[sith_happened]

"Skywalkers always have a lot of character," Anakin said, grinning.

[thatwaslucky]

"That's definitely true," sge said. "I've seen the family reunions."

[sith_happened]

"We're also a lot of fun," Anakin said. "Cade aside."

[thatwaslucky]

"Oh," she said, reminded. "Summer brought up the topic of Jedi drinking games."

This was not the first and probably not the last time a conversation with Summer had meant asking some odd questions.

"I never played any," Anakin said. "I just drank."

[thatwaslucky]

"Really? I guessed you would have," she said, and added, "If those sorts of things happened."

She kind of thought they had to, if they happened in the dorms.

[sith_happened]

"I wasn't included in a lot of the Padawan bonding," Anakin admitted.

[thatwaslucky]

Way to make her sad.

"What did you do in your free time?"

[sith_happened]

"Took speeders apart," Anakin admitted, grinning. "Explored the Temple. Annoyed Obi-Wan."

[thatwaslucky]

"That is all better than drinking games," Rey decided.

[sith_happened]

"Especially annoying Obi-Wan," Anakin said.

[thatwaslucky]

"And I know he definitely wasn't doing any of that," she said.

[sith_happened]

"He was annoying in his existence," Anakin said with a fond smile. "At least in my teens and early twenties."

[thatwaslucky]

"I hear that's pretty common at that age."

Said Little Miss "I've Known You Five Minutes Will You Be My New Dad?" right before her twenty-fifth birthday.

Anakin grinned. "Well, you were very annoyed when I told you to stop climbing up a national monument, so we all had trying moments."

"I was perfectly safe!"

Said Little Miss "The Fish Nuns Hated Me."

[sith_happened]

Well, the Fish Nuns seemed very done with everyone. "But was the wall?"

[thatwaslucky]

In fairness, there were only two people there and one shot a hole through a wall.

"Did it break?" No. No it didn't.

[sith_happened]

"No," Anakin admitted after too long of a pause.

[thatwaslucky]

Rey's expression said "exactly" even though she was still wrong.

[sith_happened]

Anakin laughed. "Have you tried climbing other monuments when I wasn't watching?" he asked.

[thatwaslucky]

"Not unless crawling through old temples and Death Stars count," she said.

[sith_happened]

"I don't think they do," Anakin said, smiling.

[thatwaslucky]

"Then no," she said.

[sith_happened]

"Juliet would say I should have stickers to praise you for such progress," Anakin said teasingly.
