Devil's Nest, Monday Night

Eric wasn't surprised that Tiny had the blender going for drinks this evening . Eric wasn't going fully blended but he did have a Hurricane in front of him to test for quality control: strong as shit and not too sweet, and if Tiny was doing it wrong, he'd hear about it.

The Devil's Nest was open and shirtless! Happy Monday.

Jag wasn't exactly getting out much, which he was pretty fine with. It wasn't like he was going out a lot at home even before they had to have security everywhere. But Jaina was encouraging him to take advantage of the freedom and so he went out to one of the places he knew would be open.

And as soon as he saw Eric he said, "Of course."

Eric waved shirtlessly. "Jagged."

"Eric," he said with just a slight shake of his head as he came over to the bar. "Did I miss a theme night?"

He knew he didn't. He'd met Eric.

"Shirtless Mondays," Eric said with a grin. "Feel free to join in."

"I'm sure I will any moment now." No. "This is every Monday?"

Good going, Jaina.

"Sometimes Thursdays, too," Eric said, nodding. "We're very ab-friendly."

"Which means you want to show off," he said with a nod.

Eric gestured to himself. "Obviously."

"Fair," said Jag, having once competed in shirtless pull ups, canonically, for a girl. "How have you been, besides at the gym?"

What, Jag had to go to the gym, Eric should have to, too.

"Oh, running this place since everyone else who isn't a Norse god is stuck away from the island for the foreseeable future," Eric said. "Things happen."

"I think I'm missing something," he said slowly. He also wasn't sure Eric wasn't referring to himself as a Norse god, because again, met him.

"I normally have several more employees, but they are being prevented from returning to the island for...reasons," Eric said. "I don't know the particulars. So that leaves just Thor and I here for now."

"That's how Jaina got stranded." Twice. "How manageable is it?"

"I could run this place in my sleep," Eric said, grinning. "Or do you mean how manageable is them returning?"

"Running the bar," he clarified. "I've never considered what goes into it."

You know. Jagged Fel, frequent bar goer.

"I have another bar in Louisiana, too," Eric said with a smile. "I've been doing this for many hundreds of years."

"What makes you want to keep doing it?" He was actually interested, too. It wasn't like he was doing much he got a choice in.

"I like meeting new people," Eric said. "It was a less altruistic reason before we synthesized blood."

There was a second of a surprised blink that he'd just admit that, but he thought it best to not comment other than, "I don't see them going for that here, either."

"I think it would depend on who I asked, but I don't eat people who aren't asking for it any more," Eric said. "...at least here."

Jag was really never going to be able to square how he and Jaina had been a thing.

"Small mercies, I suppose."

"And DJs don't count," Eric said, already wondering if he should bring them back with Lucifer gone for the foreseeable future.

"This is another form of showing off, isn't it?" Jag asked.

Eric grinned. "You're catching on, yes."
