Mooby Land, Thursday Evening

Did you know, Lydia had never actually been to Mooby Land before! The previous time the Supper Club had selected this establishment, she had been unavailable that week, but she believed Captain Flint and Mr. Logan had tried it (she wished Mr. Logan well, wherever he was), and she must admit to a certain curiosity. She hadn't the faintest idea what a 'Mooby' was, or where their land was located.

This was bound to go well. Welcome to Supper Club, everyone!

Ignis had been handed the perfect excuse to skip out on this supper club in particular, and yet here he was.

With a cat.

Because while the cat may have given him an out to avoid possibly his least favorite dining option on the map, he did find himself feeling that he would miss the socializing with his fellow supper clubbers. Easy to do when there were other things that had him engaged, far less so when he was mostly just at home with one more feline than usual.

"Before anyone asks," he announced, just to get ahead of the obvious, "the cat is Liliana. She's not quite feeling herself today."

"And yet you both came anyway," Rey said with a smile at both of them.

Were the employees of Mooby Land used to animal transformations or did they not fear health departments anymore? Yes.

Anymore implied that they ever did, something Ignis would be relatively skeptical about.

"And miss the opportunity to feast upon the fine and exquisite fare only as Mooby Land can acheive?" he asked. "Surely not!"

And that was sarcasm so broad, there was no way anyone would miss it.

"Well," Ignis reasoned, as there was an objecting nudge of a small, furry head against his hand with the reminder that he was a very capable man who could multitask in petting Liliana and talking at the same time, thank you; Ignis, naturally, obliged, and was met with loud, approving purring, "it just seemed a shame to miss it, if we were still both here on the island and not otherwise...absorbed in other matters..."

"It seems to be going around," Lydia told him. "I have heard that Mr. Blackwood is a plant."

Perhaps Miss Vess could eat a...chicken nugget, or some such.

Or some sort of fried fish filet, perhaps? That was,interestingly enough, where Ignis' own proclivities would lie, because if he was going to be doing fast food, he would lean into a comfort that brought up the fast food from home.

"These things do tend to strike in small groups, I've noticed, " he said. "But a plant? I suppose that makes sense, considering the man's green thumb. Gladio usually finds himself a plant when it happens to him, as well, but that is mostly due to the island's...sense of humor."

The pause was meant to indicate that he was using the term very loosely.

"Mr. Skywalker was also a cat last week, I believe," Lydia volunteered in support of the theory that there was a transformation bug going around. "I was also a cat when it happened to me. I found it not unpleasant. It helped me relate to my sister better."

"It seems cats," Ignis said, and Liliana made a small, protesting sound for what he was about to say "are quite the popular choice. The phenomenon actually passed me by for the longest time, until quite recently. The first time was a bat, so I missed the trend by just a letter, it seems, and the second time..."

He trailed off very briefly, looking thoughtful as he scratched behind Liliana's ears.

"I was a creature from my world, called a carbuncle, but it has fondly been deemed a foxicorn by a few acquaintances who were to witness when it happened."

You know where Rey definitely didn't have to dress up? She was in fact maybe overdressed in her normal clothes.

She didn't mind this place at all, though people tended to act like it was terrible. Sure, she ate like a human raccoon but it was perfectly fine!

She was wondering how Lydia was going to deal with it though.
