The Photo Hut - Thursday
It was the last Thursday of the month, so Liz was spending the morning busy working on making sure that the final end of month report was finished and that the spreadsheets were being finalised. Once the end of month admin work was finalised, she thought she'd get a head start and work on setting up the spreadsheets and reports for September so that she could get them ready as well.

"Hey, babe," he said, smiling his best through his nerves and he set the sandwiches and salads down and swooped in for the usual kiss as well, always one to try and put his best face forward. "Ready for a lunch break?"

You know, that nice, normal trip that would be his first time home in over two years...after being stuck there for ten! Totally normal! No big deal at all!
"Just....worried, you know? About forgetting something important..."
Yup. Just that! Definitely just that!

"You still feel like you'll be up to it?" he asked, maybe with that small hope that she'd changed her mind and therefore he'd have a convenient excuse to duck put of it after all. But then he'd also feel bad about ditching Iggy and Gladio, and...
Fine. It would be fine! Right? Totally, totally fine...

He already knew he was going to be feeling pretty sick to his stomach about everything, but he didn't have pregnancy to blame for it. Just a big fat trauma baby that had been gestating for over a decade.
Which was why it was probably important for him to finally try to confront it, sure, but it was much more difficult to see it that way now that the actual trip was looming over them.

Wait, no, that'd be worse! A small sound escaped him, a distressed and nauseous little grunt, and he made himself think about something else. Or at least something he could control, producing from his pocket a crumpled up piece of paper.
"I have a checklist!" he announced, somewhat proudly, and started shoving it her way. "Do you want to look it over and see if I missed anything?"
It was long enough to suggest that he apparently was bringing with them half the apartment and a good entire section of Turtle & Canary. It was a list that even Ignis would probably said was 'a bit much.'
