The park- Saturday afternoon

The amount of times lately Jag had called and probably been very glad that he was not there...

Jaina's daemon, a lioness named Sula, ruled. Jaina loved her. It was a little weird for a lion to be in the house but they rolled with it.

Harder to roll with was the fact that in addition to Sula, they had the twins' daemons. One was an otter, fine, the other was a horse. Not even a pony, a horse. Horses did not belong indoors. Dax was sleeping in the living room because they weren't dealing with stairs.

So they were spending the afternoon at the park. Maybe the whole day. The boys got to run around, while Jaina and her badass lion were going to sit and watch.

Anakin was returning from a coffee run--thanks to Rory's daemon also being a coffee fiend, there hadn't been any left for him--and smiled and waved at the boys.

"Hello!"

Rundu found a nearby tree to laze under.

Jaina gestured to Rundu. "Good friend to have."

Sula was uninterested in anything but watching the kids.

Anakin laughed. "He's enjoying the space to stretch. Our house wasn't meant for lions."

Jaina now gestured to the horse.

"So Rhoro's with us, too."

[sith_happened]

"That's a horse."

Good job, Anakin.

[solo_sword]

"There's been a horse in the living room and an otter in the bathtub," Jaina said. "I'm not sure how my life got this weird."

[sith_happened]

Anakin laughed. "At least a polar bear hasn't show up to offer a soda again?"

[solo_sword]

"I could not handle bears giving them sugar this weekend," she said. "Is your place a zoo, too?"

[sith_happened]

"More so than usual," Anakin said with a teasing smile.

[solo_sword]

"Are there any animals you don't think can reliably get down stairs?" she checked.

[sith_happened]

"Cows?" Anakin said after thinking for a bit. "Wampas would be bad at it." He grinned. "Sarlaacs are a definite no."

[solo_sword]

"I mean currently in your house," she smiled.

[sith_happened]

"Juliet got a Sarlaac," Anakin lied.

[solo_sword]

"I'd be extremely worried about her if that were true," she said.

[sith_happened]

"She actually has a merqaal," Anakin sighed. "Well. Most of the time."

[solo_sword]

"All right, that's the cutest," jaina admitted. "Much better than a sarlaac."

[sith_happened]

"Well, everything better than a sarlaac," Anakin agreed.

[solo_sword]

"And this has to just be a weekend thing, right?"

She was pretty sure. But sometimes the island surprised you. And the horse had always been a horse.

"I really hope so," Anakin said. "Rory's daemon keeps eating the coffee beans."
