Homecoming 2024, Community Center, Saturday Evening

It wouldn't really be a Homecoming dance without a theme, and what kind of theme used up a chunk of the glitter reserves? Outer space! The out-of-this-world decorations had twinkling star lights, cheesy styrofoam planets hanging from the ceiling, and swirling glitter galaxies adorning the walls.

The food table was full, the music was rocking, and the dance floor was ready for guests to arrive!

Show off those outfits!

While he was a little bit bummed that he wasn't able to make it back in time to catch the carnival yesterday, Graham made it a point to make it for the dance tonight! He was there in his knightly finest, looking ever more the shining example of his station....even if he did look a little tired, because that station, lately, had been a busy one.

Not too tired, however, to admire the decor as he came in.

"Zounds! They never disappoint with the glitter, do they, Triumph?"

Triumph, dedicatedly at his side and also looking mighty fancy with his red velvet sash and jaunty hat and shining accouterments, squeaked and squealed with enthusiastic agreement.

Even if his eyes were entirely for the food tables.

As per usual, Henry hadn't the faintest what the dance was for, nor how he should be dressed for it. And as per usual, he showed up anyway, expecting to be welcomed, a goofy smile on his face and his eyes already set on the food. "Ah, this is nice, it is."

'Twasn't as if Edward was genuinely surprised to turn up here in this place by no plan of his own. Still, it had scarcely been a week or two since last he was here, and yet he'd somehow washed up ashore this morning.

Now newly-cleaned up and in his usual finest, he was wandering into the community center in search of a bite.

"Haven't changed much, then."

There might be no dancing for him this evening. Stark wasn't sure. He wanted to at least make an appearance, though. See if any old friends were about, or newer ones, and admire new ways glitter was being utilized.

He had on his 'galaxy suit' ~~but the link was dead, alas~~, the one that was slightly metallic. It was one of his favorites.

Belle, in a royal blue dress, was there, naturally.

SHe enjoyed dancing and she enjoyed socializing, after all.

"Belle!" Graham's grin brightened and he waved as soon as she spotted her. "Hello!"

Naturally, he bowed, doffing his hat, continuing as he fitting it back on his head. "It's so good to see you!"

Beside him, Triumph chirruped an agreement, and Graham chuckled. "Triumph says 'Ditto.' How have you been?"

Triumph, of course, got a kiss on the nose.

Then Belle turned to Graham and hugged him.

"Sir Knight, you have been missed!"

Luke had told his father that he'd try to stop by this weekend--it was always a good way to say hello to different family members--and so here he was, wearing his usual black and looking for familiar faces.

"Meep! Meep meep meep meep meep," Beaker said, already covered in glitter.

Oh no, another excuse for Luma to wear a pretty dress and do her hair and make-up and nails. Whatever was she going to do?

Although she had to admit that she was feeling a little more....antsy, restless than usual, with that supermoon tonight. And, no, she wasn't exactly as moved by lunar patterns as the lore would have you think, but that didn't mean there wasn't sometimes a certain pull toward the wolf side of her more when it was large and full...

Lana had found a lovely pants outfit and was happy to wear it here and see who she might know that had come back for the weekend.

Arthur was in an unremarkable pinstripe suit, and just hoping he wouldn't be bringing too much glitter home with him.

Arthur, it's very bright. And loud.

"Yes, I can hear the loud for myself."

No, I mean the colors.

"Oh. Oh, right."

Look, Jon had one suit. The island had given it to him in all its terrible glory, and Eliot had magically tailored it and made it nicer looking, and Jon was going to wear it whenever it was called for.

Tasty treats and totally safe punch!

Why is the punch bowl currently smoking? Don't look at Beaker. He definitely didn't add too much dry ice to it.

Except for how he did.

Enjoy a mix of relatively popular tunes and slow dance numbers.
