Infinite Consortium, Monday
The worst thing about teaching was that it forced Liliana to cognizant of time. She preferred to live her life beholden to neither clock nor calendar, and classes meant that there was at least one time per week when she had to be aware of both. Which meant that what many people considered the disorienting, dreamy no-time between Christmas and New Year's Day was her preferred state of existence. She did what she wished when she wished, as was right and proper. Even being at the shop today had less to do with it being Monday and more that Ignis and her steward had decided to undertake some kind of vast, mansion-wide deep cleaning and Liliana had chosen to decamp elsewhere rather than be roped into assisting with that endeavor.
All of which to say that today's delivery of clocks (in fact, several different kinds of clocks) was absolutely insulting.
"You can make me put you in the window, but you can't make me mind you," she informed the different chronology keepers before flouncing back to her seat behind the counter.
