Saturday afternoon at the Perkolator

Bored out of her freaking mind, Jaye sits down at the Perk with a mocha cappucino and waits for someone to harrass. In a fun way, though.

And if no one shows, she's going to start flicking napkin bits at customers.

Paige walks in mid afternoon and sees the girl she met at the homecoming dance, she orders a latte with carmel syrup then walks over

"hey, mind if I join you?"

"Sure," Jaye says. "Do I know your name? Begins with a P, right?"

She smiles and sits down, "Yeah it's Paige and you're..." she pauses trying to remember she'd been pretty drunk and totally preoccupied with Geoff at homecoming "Jane?" she suggests sounding unsure

"Jaye. Close enough," she says. "What's going on?"

*Wanders in to the Perk, and sits down with his extra large cup of coffee with more sugar than should be technically allowed*

Returning from a job, Tex enters the Perkolator. She notices Ash and scowls in his direction before heading to the counter and ordering a cup of coffee, black. The staff might look more than a bit intimidated.

Whoa... Tex! *waves* You wanna come sit with me? Coffee all alone is no fun at all.

Chloe comes in and heads behind the counter, going about the usual business of clocking in and checking to see how much more coffee needs to be brewed.

*Wanders into the Perk, orders a plain black coffee and takes it and her Ethics notebook over to a seat by the window.*

Jaye accidentally aims wide with her napkin-ball throwing, and thusly it ends up on Angela's notebook. "Sorry!" Jaye calls.

Surprised, Angela jerks her head up. She smiles, vaguely recognizing Jaye from Rory's party.

"No problem!," she calls, lobbing the napkin back.

((Where Jaye and Ash have taken to throwing wet things at each other and Jaye's accepting of help.))

The wet napkin lands in Jaye's lap, and she shrieks a little. She flings it back at Ash.

Holding the notebook cover as a shield, Angela takes a wadded piece of paper and flings it Ash-ward.

"Why didn't I think of a shield?" asks Jaye. She holds up one of the paper cup holders in front of her face.

Chloe watches the wet paper war and sighs, grabbing the mop from its spot under the counter, with a grumble. "This job would be great if it wasn't for the freaking customers."

"Sorry!" Jaye says on her way out. "At least you're dry!"

"You're lucky none of that hit me, or you'd be wearing coffee too!" Chloe says, shaking her head.

"Sorry. Want me to help, or should I just stay out of your way?"

[mycanonhatesme]

"I'm about five seconds from shaking my mop at all of you. I suggest getting out of my way," Chloe says, although she doesn't sound quite as exasperated as she looks.
