"I...used to - well, up until a week or so ago, I was...a prostitute," Becky confesses, staring at her hands.

He reaches across with his free hand and puts it over hers.

"Would you mind if I asked -- back where you came from, or here?"

"Both. It's what I was sent here for, actually," she mumbles. "I stopped, though."

"What made you decide to stop?"

She looks up from her hands. "New friends," she says quietly, glancing at him significantly.

Geoff raises his eyebrows in surprise, and smiles. "That's a good reason. Friends. Just...don't make changes to yourself to please other people, okay? To please yourself, but not other people."

Becky lifts half her mouth in a wry smile.

"I should've made the change a long, long time ago," she replies, shrugging.

Geoff leans in gives her a light kiss on the lips. "Then I'm glad you've made it. It can be a dangerous profession, I know, and I'd hate to see you get hurt."

Becky visibly relaxes. "I'm glad you're okay with it," she murmurs.

"It's the self-righteous and the hypocrites I dislike, remember?" He grins at her. "I'll admit that I'm glad you stopped. But...I don't see where I'm in a position to tell you how to live, Becky. Maybe to ask you, if I there were something that worried me, but not tell you."

"Then, as long as I'm doing the 'honesty' thing, I should probably tell you I'm also nearly always armed to the teeth, and that I've killed people," Becky says.

"Now you sound like Marty."

"Marty?" she asks. "I somehow doubt this Marty guy carries the kind of weaponry I do."

Geoff laughs. "No, probably not. It was just the way you said it." He kisses her cheek. "Remember when I'm from, Becky. You're not the only friend I've had with blood on their hands."

Becky smiles. "I forgot about that." She sighs. "So, yeah. Now you know all the big stuff. Is there anything else you want to know, or anything?"

Shaking his head and smiling, Geoff says, "I don't think you have to tell me all your secrets straight off. I enjoy getting to know people by being around them, too." He hugs her shoulders. "Is there anything you feel you should know about me, though?"

Becky rests her head on his shoulder. "Not that I can think of. I'm pretty content with what I know."

"Good. Me too." He turns his head and kisses Becky's hair.

"Do you have any idea what's going on in this movie?"

"I have no idea," Becky confesses, giggling. "I haven't been following it at all."

"Neither have I. I think someone's mother is drunk, and maybe someone ran away or got shot. There might be a judge in there somewhere." He shrugs. "I think, for a morality play, it isn't a very good one. The only thing I've learned not to do is watch this movie."

Becky holds up the gummi bears, grinning.

"You know, a way to show your displeasure with a movie is to throw things at the screen."

Geoff grins and takes a handful of gummi bears. "After you, my lady."

Becky gleefully flings a few green gummi bears at the screen, and watches with satisfaction as one sticks.

Geoff lobs several red and yellow gummi bears across the theater, laughing as they stick and then slide down the screen.

"Make sure you throw all the green and yellow ones," Becky says wisely. "Miho says those are the gross ones."
