The doors open to Caritas on schedule, and after singing his opening number Lorne takes his position behind the bar.

The Zombie band is playing.

The drinks our flowing.

After her visit with Logan, Veronica stops by Caritas to talk to her new boss and find out what her work schedule will be.

"Hey, Lorne," she says when she enters and takes a seat at the bar.

"Rhonda my love! How was your Thanksgiving? Can I get you something to drink before you sing for me?"

Veronica sighs, resigned to the fact that Lorne will never get her name right.

"Actually, I came down to talk to you about work stuff. Like, when do you want me to?"

"Well kitten, I'd say that largely depends on your schedule. We're closed Sunday. Jarod Jerry opens the bar on Monday's and Wednesday's. Rogue opens the bar on Tuesday's and Thursdays. I take care of the Friday and Saturday crowds. What I'd like you to do as hostess is to mingle with the customers, get them drinks and get them onstage to sing."

Lorne takes a sip of his sea breeze.

"So it largely depends on what nights you want to work. Two-Three days a week sound about right?"

"Two or three nights a week sounds perfect. And I'm pretty much free any night but Thursday because I have a class."

"It's quiet here tonight," Veronica comments to Lorne, after he talks to Jenny. "I guess a lot of people are out of town for the holiday."

"Listen sugar-plum. If you got people you need to see, you go on right ahead. Tino and I can handle the joint tonight. Though I haven't seen you get on stag and sing. I may have to make that a requirement for everyone who works here."

Jenny walks in, hands in the pockets of her jacket, and looks around. "Not bad at all," she murmurs. She leans on the bar, her arms on the counter, and looks around for someone to order a drink from.

Veronica walks over, having just arrived back at Caritas from the dorms.

"Hi, I'm Veronica, how are you? Tino will get you whatever you want to drink."

"Hey, Veronica," says Jenny, smiling. "Thanks. Pretty quiet so far. You guys get busy later in the night?" She orders an Irish Coffee from Tino.

Veronica shrugs. "I'm not sure, to be honest. It's my first night. But I was in here the other night and it was pretty crowded. Of course, that's because everyone wanted to hear Angel sing."

She grins. "Anyway, are you new in town? And, more importantly, are you going to sing?"

Duncan walks in, hands in the pockets of a brown leather jacket. His hair is back in a ponytail with a silver Celtic knot on the band. Tight black jeans.

"Hi there!" Veronica greets the man in the very tight jeans. "Tino will get you a drink and the Zombie Band knows every song you can think of."

"Hey," she says, smiling at the guy. "How's it going tonight?"

Duncan heads up to the stage. He picks up the microphone. After clearing his throat experimentally, he starts a loud, not terribly tuneful version of "Scotland the Brave."
