Caritas--OPEN (Friday)

Jarod was a little discombobulated after he got Tino's phone call--Jarod needed to come in and open, set up the bar, and then Tino would take over until Lorne showed up, since he had to work at the Sin this evening. He rushed around, making sure everything was in order, then rushed back out, not wanting to disappoint (or anger) Becky and Miho.

Especially since Miho seemed to have quite the weapons collection.

Logan ordered a Coke from the bar and found a seat in the Lounge.

Veronica noticed Logan and went over to chat since he was the only person there.

"You know, if I didn't know any better, I'd think you were stalking me," she said with a grin.

Logan shrugged. "I can leave," he said.

"It was a joke, Logan, remember those?" she asked, plopping down in the seat next to him. "Get your journalism final handed in?"

Logan stretched out his arm and checked his watch. "Still got time," he grinned.

"And you're hanging out here instead of working on it?"

Logan tapped the notebook in front of him. "I find I concentrate better with a floor show," he said.

Veronica glanced around the empty club.

"Looks like you're out of luck there so far."

Logan grinned at her and waggled his eyebrows.

"I certainly hope you're not suggesting what I think you're suggesting."

"What? You don't sing anymore?"

She gave him a look that suggested she wasn't sure that was totally what he meant.

"Actually it's a job requirement."

Logan smiled innocently. As innocently as he could, at least.

"Fine. I'll go sing. I'd rather do it before there's a crowd anyway. Just in case anyone was here on Monday."

"Do you need help with your project?" she asked Logan, her voice full of concern.

"Not unless you want to write it for me," he said.

"Well considering I've spoken to Kara maybe two times all term, I don't think I'd be much help. You need another drink?"

"Something a little stronger, maybe?" He looked at her hopefully.

Veronica raised an eyebrow. "Sorry, no can do." She wondered just how often he was hitting something stronger, but didn't want to start a fight.

Veronica takes the stage while the club is mostly empty and tries not to remember the last time she was up there.
