Red's is Open
Getting some of the men from the town hall to help, Red trotted ahead to open the shop so they could move the gift his secret santa gave him into a corner of the shop.
Castor and Pollux, sensing something new, peered around the counter. Once the men left, they crept out of their hiding place to investigate.
While Red got the shop ready for business, the cubs were all over it, sniffing at every nook and cranny until Pollux was perched on top...all the way on top of the towering thing and Castor dangled from one of the posts after being unseated by Pollux.

which he hasn't actually done yetand a brief trip to the school, Geoff wanders into the shop. He looks pale and a little rumpled.no subject
Castor, being a bit lower since he was unsuccessful in unseating Pollux for king of the house, leapt down and trotted over, nosing his jingle ball toward the man.
Red looked up from his computer and put his mouthstick down. "Hello, Mr. Chaucer. How are you today?"

Geoff smiles weakly at Red, and looks down to give Castor a somewhat broader smile. Dropping down to his knee, he scratches the cub's ears and then rolls the jingle ball across the floor. "These are your cubs, then?"
Because the mun can't remember if he's met the cubs, so let's just pretend he hasn', mkay?no subject
Smiling, Red nosed his work to the side and gave Geoff his attention. "They are. I found them, orphaned." He watched Castor run around behind the ball. "Were you looking for something specific?"

"Actually, yeah, I think I do. Bracelets, I'm thinking. Um, a woman's and two men's. And also, maybe some sort of pendant -- something celtic? That, you know, a witch might like?"
[ooc: I have some links, if you'd like them, to the sorts of things he's looking for.]

((ooc: please! He can most likely have them in stock!))

He swallows and is quiet for a second.

He pulled out a few samples of bracelets for Geoff to look at, some he suspected were exactly what the man wanted and he waited. "Is everything okay?" he asked after a moment.

He sets out three bracelets he's chosen and moves along the counter to look at some (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29/danaedark/wiccan-glade_1875_8024407.gif) pendants (http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a29/danaedark/wiccan-glade_1872_9235388.jpg).

He fiddles with the pieces Red has put out for him to look at, his manner very subdued. "I really don't have much information about it myself. Ten -- the Doctor -- called me last night, just to let me know. I haven't talked to him directly yet, I've been giving him some time for the chaos to settle down, and I haven't liked the idea of calling his cell at the hospital. It seems like an unnecessary disturbance, you know?" Geoff looks up at Red. "He needs to concentrate on being with CJ while he's there, and not be worrying about taking phone calls."
Setting two of the pendants apart, he says, "I'll take these, too. And...I don't suppose you know anyone in town who might do engraving? I'd like to put something on one of the bracelets, if I can find someone to do it."

While Red rings up the sales, Geoff turns to watch the cubs playing. "They're really adorable," he says quietly.

"And don't tempt me about the extra $20. I've got no fur to lose, and I certainly didn't get any sleep last night, so I might as well spend the time doing something fun." He grins again, and then kneels back down to roll the jingle ball again for the cub.

Just when he had it under control, the ball jingled away again and Castor leapt after it in bounces that had more lift that distance. Pollux was unable to sit still while his brother had all the fun and leapt off the top of his perch to land on his brother, springing off him to chase the ball.

Once he has the jewelry -- except for the bracelet Red is sending out for engraving -- Geoff kneels on the floor again and grins at the cubs. "Thanks, guys," he says softly.

Another squeak toy bounced in front of them, tossed from up high on the counter and they took off after it. "I'll call you when the engraving comes back," Red said from, suspiciously, the same counter the squeak toy came from.

OMGadorable thing he's ever seen, Geoff laughs again as they bounce off toward the toy."Thanks, Red," he says, nodding goodbye to the proprietor as he scoops up his boxes and heads out.
