Come on in and get a drink and sing a little tune...

Well, she'll find out.
She heads to the bar first thing, carefully keeping her face bored and her walk confident. She leans against it, watching to get the bartender's attention.
It's been a long two days, and she wants a beer.

Instead, Cordy walks down to Caritas and takes a seat at the bar. There are a few people in there, so hopefully she won't be bored to tears. Time to see if this place checks ID.

Re: Lounge:
I've come to wish you a grand birthday
I've come to wish you a grand birthday
Because you're Parkie
And you’re fly
And if you should ask
everyone says you’re
like apple pie
(yes apple pie)
Loved and held
And some may say
You’re usually a bit scary
That’s what we like
You’re supposed to be this way?
I say "Yes, and then I sing this song"
And: "May the years be full
And rich like tonight"
I've come to wish you a grand birthday
I've come to wish you a grand birthday
Because you're Parkie
And you’re fly
And if you should ask
everyone says you’re
like apple pie
(yes apple pie)
Loved and held
And some may say
You’re usually a bit scary
That’s what we like
You’re supposed to be this way?
I said "Yes"
And then I sang Dean Martin
So, drink, drink, drink
And be gay tonight
For our favourite Parkie
For our favourite Parkie
For our favourite Parkie
For our favourite Parkie
For our favourite Parkie

Maureen
It's hard to explain
I'm never going to see you again
And you'll never meet my new friends
Maureen, I miss you
I just can't explain
I'm never going to see you again
I wish you could meet my new friends
Walking along the subway listening to
Loving you is easy acapella
You were a souped-up car in that rent-a-go-kart town
And I miss you, Maureen
We're as thick as thieves
Maureen Maureen
Remember when my mother said to me
Sade don't you come home to late
Till you're back I stay awake
And Maureen
With the boys you could tell at a glance
You'd say he looks good
Let'd hope he can dance
Wicky wacky party to the..
Where are we going tonight
And what will you be wearing
Shone like a souped-up car in that rent-a-go-kart town
And I miss you Maureen, I miss you girl
You were my best friend
I'm never going to see you again, maureen
And you'll never meet my new friends
You really were a pearl in my world, maureen
Maureen
It's hard to explain
You'll never call round to see me again
You'll never meet my new friends
Never meet my new friends
Never meet my new friends
Never meet my new friends
Finishing, Kara takes a bow and scampers off stage.

Re: Stage:
No, it was simply that Alpha had noticed earlier today that it was a student's birthday. That, combined with all the to-do in the dorms as people got ready to go to her party, had given Zordon the idea to send Alpha along as an envoy, if you will, to send birthday greetings on his behalf. It was the most he could do as a gesture, really, not being able to go himself.
Alpha 5 clambered up onto the stage on his awkward mechanical legs, took the microphone, and announced, "Ay-yi-yi! Dean Zordon sends birthday greetings to Miss Maureen Parker!"
Clearing his throat -- which sounded disturbingly like the sound one got when rattling a bucket full of loose nuts and bolts, but pitched much higher -- he began to sing.
Once a year we celebrate
With stupid hats and plastic plates
The fact that you were able to make
Another trip around the sun
And the whole clan gathers round
And gifts and laughter do abound
And we let out a joyful sound
And sing that stupid song
Happy birthday!
Now you're one year older!
Happy birthday!
Your life still isn't over!
Happy birthday!
You did not accomplish much
But you didn't die this year
I guess that's good enough
So let's drink to your fading health
And hope you don't remind yourself
The chance of finding fame and wealth
Decrease with every year
Does it feel like you're doing laps
And eating food and taking naps
And hoping that someday perhaps
Your life will hold some cheer
Happy birthday!
What have you done that matters?
Happy birthday!
You're starting to get fatter
Happy birthday!
It's downhill from now on
Try not to remind yourself
Your best years are all gone
If cryogenics were all free
Then you could live like Walt Disney
And live for all eternity
Inside a block of ice
But instead your time is set
This is the only life you get
And though it hasn't ended yet
Sometimes you wish it might
Happy birthday!
You wish you had more money
Happy birthday!
Your life's so sad it's funny
Happy birthday!
How much more can you take?
But your friends are hungry
So just cut the stupid cake
Happy birthday!
Happy birthday!
Happy birthday, dear...
*random calling out of names, including Ralph, Bill, Ralph Kramden,
Skippy, the bush kangaroo, and the b-b-b-b-b-bu-bu-bu- that leads into
"Dangerous"*
Back at the Command Center, Zordon was most definitely not laughing at the sight in the Viewing Globe as Alpha flailed his way off the stage.

Re: Stage:
I'm broke but I'm happy
I'm poor but I'm kind
I'm short but I'm healthy, yeah
I'm high but I'm grounded
I'm sane but I'm overwhelmed
I'm lost but I'm hopeful baby
What it all comes down to
Is that everything's gonna be fine fine fine
I've got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is giving a high five
I feel drunk but I'm sober
I'm young and I'm underpaid
I'm tired but I'm working, yeah
I care but I'm restless
I'm here but I'm really gone
I'm wrong and I'm sorry baby
What it all comes down to
Is that everything's gonna be quite alright
I've got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is flicking a cigarette
And what it all comes down to (my friends)
Is that I haven't got it all figured out just yet
I've got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is giving the peace sign
I'm free but I'm focused
I'm green but I'm wise
I'm hard but I'm friendly baby
I'm sad but I'm laughing
I'm brave but I'm chickenshit
I'm sick but I'm pretty baby
And what it all boils down to
Is that no one's really got it figured out just yet
I've got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is playing the piano
And what it all comes down to my friends
Is that everything's just fine fine fine
I've got one hand in my pocket
And the other one is hailing a taxi cab
