NPC Chinese Restaurant

After leaving Callisto's room, Angel and Callisto enjoyed a quiet walk through town as they went to the restaurant.

Well... possibly Callisto enjoyed the quiet. Angel did his best to remember the various conversational topics that were okay to bring up over dinner and hoped he wasn't doing anything stupid with his hands.

The restaurant greeted them with a rush of light and heat as the door opened. They went inside to get a table.

"This okay?" Angel asked, as a waiter led them to a booth.

"Yeah, it's fine," Callisto sat down, and did not start drumming her fingers nervously. "This is, uh, a nice looking place."

"Never been," Angel admitted. He looked at the menu which was half English, half Cantonese. "Oh, hey, I know this."

"The menu?" Callisto glanced at her own.

"A little, yeah." Angel looked pleased, as though he'd passed the first test. Then, as though this would make sense to anybody, "Could've brought that #2 pencil."

Cordelia entered the Chinese restaurant a little before Logan, having completely forgotten that Angel was having his date here tonight. Oops.

"Nice, um...golf cart," she said, in a mildly teasing voice.

Logan rolled his eyes. "Car ban," he explained. They were seated at a table near Angel and Callisto, but Logan barely glanced over there. Peripheral vision, yay. "I have an XTerra sitting in my garage gathering dust."

"Why is there a car ban?" she asked, looking at him. Then, as she looked around, she saw Angel and Callisto.

"I totally forgot Angel had his date here tonight. Hope he doesn't think we're like, sabotaging him or something," she said.

"Island's too small for it or some crap. It's weird. Used to drive everywhere, back home." Logan glanced over at Angel and Callisto. "Oh, right. Well, small town. Bound to happen sometimes."
