Wonka Sweets Shoppe - OPEN

Wonka makes sure the sales banner is still hanging there, then goes to put out small bowls of experimental hard candy and bubblegum. He's not sure if roastbeaf is the way to go, but he's quite pleased with the pineapple-and-canary bird candy.

(so Susan can be, you know, actually hired. *wry*)

Ivanova heads into town after classes today with the intent of seeing if Tonks had developed that intriguing moving picture. Which sounded like she was wowing the advent of film. But it was a picture. That moved. On its own. She stepped into Wonka's and her face fell a little at not seeing the familiar pink head, but she did see that the owner was in. Okay, Ivanova, don't sound desperate.

"Good afternoon!"

Ivanova blinked, startled. "O . . . kay. I wasn't aware that I was hired yet. In fact, I was just about to ask you about that. But I can start now if you want."

Ivanova opened and closed her mouth a few times before moving past the message thing. Must have been on Friday. She took a candy. "I'm available Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday after school, but I can work all day Thursday, Friday, and the weekend. I somehow ended up with no classes on those days." She popped the candy in her mouth and sucked it a few times, almost spitting it out.

"Roast beef!" She considered. "It is kind of yumm . . . gravy? I can taste gravy?"

Ivanova is starting to smile a bit at his enthusiasm. About just about everything, it seems. "They're very delicious. In a 'this-is-really-candy?' sort of way. And yes, that sounds fine. Would you like me to start today?"

"Of course," Ivanova said very seriously. This was going to be fun. "What did you want me to test?"

[[Off to class. Back in a few hours.]]

((*laughs* You guys win. So much. *gives shinies*))

[[Ooooooh, shinies.]]

Ivanova watches Wonka handle the next customer, still sucking on what was turning into a full-course dinner. She had gone through the roast beef and gravy, what tasted like carrots, mashed potatoes, and now was on something she couldn't identify. It tasted rather like . . . tomato sauce mixed with lemon Jell-o. She could probably get the hang of this. She began looking at all the candies, trying to find some way to remember them all.

Late morning - some point before lunch

Pippi walks into the shop and looks around exceedingly pleased. She represses the urge to stomp her foot an yell "80 POUNDS OF BONONS NOW!" Because the keeper of this shop might be less frazzled and more on the ball then the one at home.

She noticed the nice looking man in the spiffy hat behind the counter and addressed him.

"Good morning sir. Do you have doxies?"

"I knew he was trying to mess with me!" She said. "I'll take that, thank you." She smiled and looked around the store. I have oh somewhere around 20 freshmen and a Vice Principal to feed, possibly some party crashers as well; and I'm looking for dessert, candy seems very popular around here so I'd figured a big batch of that would do. Is there any kind that are particularly popular around here?"

Pippi ponders her options.

"Well, gum may not be a good idea since we'll be at the beach and trash recepticals will be limited. But everybody likes chocolate! I myself are parshal to caramel." She wanders through the store gathering all manner of confections asking Wonka about this or that. When she's done, she has enough candy to choke a... very large thing that's really hard to choke.

Once again, she holds out a shiney gold coin (http://static.flickr.com/40/84032181_7a96f157dc_m.jpg). "Will this be enough?"
