All and Sundries, 2/1
Edmund is in, feeling much better and reading a Hallmark catalogue and laughing derisively.
However, he's also penciling in items on the order sheet.
Baldrick is in, attempting to re-organize after Artie's catastrophic reorganization of Sunday in which he put most of the items in places where people could find them. What was the fun in that, after all? Shopping and scavenger hunt in one - that was Baldrick's cunning plan for making people spend more time in All and Sundries.

He jumped lithely up onto the counter with a small bow. "Excuse me, my good man, but I find myself in need of tea. The best looseleaf you have."
no subject
A cat.
One that had not donated its fur to his useless robes of state.
One that was speaking.
Edmund closed his eyes and found that the cat was still looking at him when he opened them again.
But would it speak again?
"I have a wide selection, being rather particular about tea myself. Do you have a preference?"

hot" the Baron replied, not noticing Edmund's 'this must be what going mad feels like' moment. "If you have it."no subject
"You'll forgive my impertinence, but, unless it's ergot poisoning yet again, you appear to be a cat...?"

"May I help you, sir?" asks Baldrick. He may be fetid, but he's polite.

"I need food, something healthy but yummy, and some more clothing I think" Orlin says after a pause.
no subject
If Orlin follows the stinky little man to the turnips, he will no doubt notice the clothing shelved between the flea shampoo and the louse combs.
no subject
English Prig with a stick up you know where"Is that the clothing there between the shampoo and bug combs?"no subject
In response to Orlin's question, he nods. "Yes the clothes are there, but turnips should always come first, shouldn't they, sir?"

"Yes sir. Chocolate and macaroni, sir. Right over here." Where indeed, the Hershey's chocolate sauce and the macaroni are shelved right next to each other.

"I was looking for art supplies," she says
no subject
He can lead her to the corner of the shop where the art supplies are shelved next to the cooking oil and the pickled pigs feet.
no subject
"Are you expecting to "sell a lot of those?" to her credit she hasn't 'ewwww' not verbally anyway.
no subject
He glanced at the pigs feet in question and waved at them dismissively. "I tried to obtain a diverse stock and my dogsbody will consider them an excellent Christmas bonus."
no subject
"Diverse is one word for it I guess," she looks at his clothes again, "Do you mind if I ask when you're from, my...employer is from the 14th century, you remind me a little of him." she asks as she looks through the supplies for oil paints

fledleft London in 1814. Imagine my surprise to find myself here, but I shan't complain if all the ladies are as lovely as you."From the 14th century? Talking cats? Attacking snowmen?
He wasn't questioning anything after this first week.
