Lucas slept in, so he opens the store a little bit late. He hangs a poster in the window and goes to do his sudoku puzzle.

Today's mix: Evannescence vs. Nightwish. Guess who wins.

Paige comes in soon after the store opens, she'd been to do her clinic hours, but hadn't been up to the attic for fear of another explosion from Sawyer. Therefore she was wearing the exact same outfit as she had been yesterday, for Paige this was very unusual.

"Hey Lucas, I came to pick up the posters."

"Excellent." Lucas doesn't comment on Paige's outfit, as he wears pretty much the same thing every day. He ducks below the counter for a second and returns with a stack of fliers. "Your help is greatly appreciated."

And then Paige realises the fatal flaw in her plan, "ah this means I'm gonna go to the dorms doesn't it?"

She checks her watch, he had a lesson during seventh period, which gave her fifty minutes to go to the attic pick up new clothes work out where the hell she was going to stay tonight and stick up the fliers. Oh well at least the she orb there and back

She shrugs, "I'm sure it won't be a problem," well she hoped anyway.

Lucas raised an eyebrow. "I hope not. But let me know if it is, I can always have my only employee do it for me."

"Well I have a trick to keep away from people I'm avoiding so I'm sure it'll be fine, don't worry. I'm just being paranoid." she tells him.

"In a land where snow monsters attack, paranoia might just be a virtue." But, hell, it's her choice.

She nods, "paranoia and a baseball bat! The two things you need to survive here," she replies with a smirk

Lucas smirks back. "I'll keep that in mind."

She wonders if there's anything he should know about for a moment. The baseball bat seemed to be the main thing really.

"Hopefully we'll all be safe for a while, we don't get attacked often. I'm actually kinda suprised Marc with a C didn't get any trouble actually, I mean I'm pretty sure they were actually one of the weirder looking things we've had on the island!"

"They can be odd looking, but they are generally harmless."

She nods and smiles widely, "oh yeah I got that, it's just in this place with all the so called non-humans here I wouldn't have been all that suprised if they'd been confused for something a little scarier than a Gwar tribute band. I'm glad they were all okay though."

"Non-humans" was added to Lucas's mental list of "wait, what?" terms about Fandom.

If it weren't for the fact that the building was so damned cheap, he might be regretting moving here.

"I'll let them know to be more careful the next time they visit."

She tries not to grin, she really does, it doesn't work in the slightest though. Hell she's on her way to break up Sawyer now anyway so why should she fell guilty?

"They're definitely coming back then?" she asks quite possibly a little too eagerly.

Lucas blinked. "I hope so," he tilted his head with a smirk. "Unless you scared them off?"

Paige gives him a mock offended look, "hey I only talked to Mark! And he didn't seem too scared at the time!" she says with a grin, "or do some of them a wierd fear of muffins? Cos I could get donuts next time!"

"Fear of muffins, I'm sure of it." Lucas shook his head. "They'll be coming back, don't worry."

"Donuts it is next time then!" she says with that very obvious grin that she's trying to hide.

"If Mark calls will you tell him the muffin girl says hi? I figuring he'll be more likely to know who you mean then won't he?"

Lucas actually doubted it. "Girl who'd kissed you" was the key phrase, he figured, but he nodded anyway. "Of course. They're pretty busy, usually, with their tours, but I'm sure they'll be coming back through soon enough."

Yeah Paige doubted he'd remember her, but she could hope right? Not that it really mattered, she'd have broken up with Sawyer eventually anyway. Mark had just reminded her that not every male was an arrogant violent jerk.

She nods, "yeah course, cool." she says, "I guess I'll see to again soon, but know I have to go find somewhere to live!"
