Day after Valentine's Day Special--Two for One Drink Night!

Jarod was inside, inventorying the stock.

Two for one! What could be wrong with that?

After her last class of the day, Phoebe ducked into Carita's. She was feeling very beaten and figured a drink before going to the hotel might help.

Jarod smiled at her. "Hello, what can I get for you this evening?"

"Red wine, please?"

He set a glass of wine in front of her. "You've got another one coming. Two for one."

Orkin walked in, oh yes he needed a drink.

He spotted Phoebe and strolled over. "Want company?" He asked smiling.

Phoebe smiled sadly. "Sure, pull up a seat, Orlin."

Orlin noted the sad smile, and returned it with an equally sad smile.

"I hate Valentines Day." he muttered, seating himself. "Can I get a beer?" He asked the barkeep ~~i'd say name but forgot to look~~

"So want to trade woefull tales?"

Jarod slid a beer across the bar.

"Thanks." Orlin said to Jarod, and downed half of it in one big ol' gulp.

"You're welcome. Just let me know when you're ready for the next one."

"I hate Valentine's Day," Phoebe agreed.

"I liked it... until Camulus ruined my date." Orlin said grumpily, swirling his beer, then taking another swig of his beer.

"He is such a ~~sexgod~~ jerk!"

Phoebe doesn't agree abut Camulus being a jkerk as he has always been great to her.

"What happened?"

"I was having dinner with Clay, because she was my Valentine, and we have only just started dating so it was going to be a nice casual dinner and then watch a movie a rented, and Camulus," Orlin glared at his drink, "Decided to stop by for a booty call."

Phoebe choked on her wine and coughed a bit. The words "Camulus" and "Booty call" have never occurred to her in the same sentence before.

"Did he know Clay was going to be there?"

"No, but it didn't stop him either." Orlin said bitterly. "Clay is not impressed and is mad at both Camulus and me."

He sighed and ran his fingers through his hair in irritation.

Okay, Orlin looking miserable? It was tugging on her heartstrings.

"Want me to talk to her?"

"I don't know if that would harm my case or help it," Orlin said, smiling despondantly, "She agreed to actually talk to me tomorrow, but at this point, I'd do anything."

Phoebe squeezed his arm. "I can't tonight... I'm not in a good place. But I can drop by her shop before class in the morning."

Orlin smiled a very small smile, so small that if you were not looking closely you wouldn't see it.

"Thank you Phoebe. Now, what is your tale of disaster and woe?"

Phoebe sighed and looked very sad.

"Cole and I wil not be getting back together anytime soon," she said sadly. "I guess we just aren't meant to be."

Orlin squeezed her hand sympathetically, "Want to give me a basic rundown, fairs fair you know." He's eyes might have had just a split second of their usuall sparkle of amusement and bon homme.

"He made a promise to a killer to bring him back."

"Bring him back from what?" He asked, slightly puzzled.

"The monster is imprisoned so no one else dies. Cole promised he'd free him."

"Who are we talking about?" Orlin thought about what he knew of the town, he came up blank.

[[ooc: i have evil plan regaarding camulus' apartment, wanna help?]]

"Angelus."

[[OOC: As fun as it sounds? Phoebe would never help prank Camulus. :) ]]

"The vampire with a soul?"

He is clearly puzzled.

[[ooc: it involved decorating his sparse apartment... *plotting*]]

"That's Angel. He's a good guy. Angelus is the monster killer of innocent girls and witches."

[[OOC: Oooh! Talk tomorrow? I need bed.]]

"Ok?" Still confused, but he'd take it. "So wht would he do that exactly?"

[[ooc: *grins* of course, we can ~~plot~~ talk tomorrow]]

Phoebe downed her wine and smiled at Jarod. "Can I get the second one?"

"Sure," he replied, refillling her glass.

"Thanks, Jarod."

"You're welcome."

For quiet contemplation, if such a thing is possible.
