Caritas - Open [2/21]

Veronica had an odd day and she's really hoping nothing weird will happen tonight at work.

After re-taping the drummer's head and making sure Tino had the bar fully stocked, she flipped the sign to open and sat down to think until customers started to arrive.

Lucas nodded along with the sign, his eyebrows raised in approval. At the end he applauded what was for him enthusiastically, but it might have looked mostly just polite.

What can I say? He's a little low key.

Lucas wandered his way into the bar that, the last time he'd visited, had been in the middle of the school. He glanced around and headed over to the bar.

"Hi, what can I get you?" Veronica asked cheerfully.

Veronica set his beer in front of him and tilted her head thoughtfully. "Well, that's our regular band," she said. "Oh! You must have been at the makeshift club during the power outage. We had a guest band that night."

Agatha came in and headed straight to the bar. She was not a very happy camper.

"Something with a lot of alcohol in it but that does not taste like alcohol. I don't really liekthe taste very much."

"I know just the thing," Veronica said. "One Long Island Iced Tea, please, Tino," she called. It was a little beyond her mixing abilities.

"That'll be just a minute."

A few minutes later, Tino brought the drink over.

"Enjoy," Veronica said. "It's just what you requested, a lot of alcohol that doesn't taste like alcohol."

"Wonderful." She downed it. She probably shouldn't have. Oh well.

She smiled at Veronica. "May i have another one please?"

Veronica raised an eyebrow, but took the glass and had Tino prepare another Long Island Iced Tea.

She set it in front of Agatha. "Here you go," she said. "Um, seriously? There is a lot of alcohol in these."

"Thank you." She proccessed what Veronica said. "That's the point, right? It is highly hard to get drunk when there isn't a lot of alcohol."
