Aereopagitica, Friday

The rare and used book store is open.

Giles is reading a book called Positive Signs. It is providing inexplicable insight into the last owner of the shop.

Paige wanders in because there's only so much time you can spend living in the shop of your poet ex boyfriend who has just left the dimension you're leaving in without going insane.

Also now he's gone she get the book she'd never been able to before, since Geoff hadn't written it yet.

"Hey, I was wondering if you had the Canterbury Tales?" she asks a little sadly

She thinks for a moment, "erm the middle English and translation if you have them, I'd kinda like to understand what I'm reading, I'm not really that knowledgable about the book, more the author," she says to the part about what edition she wants.

In the Afternoon

Jenny opened the door of the shop and slipped inside. Rupert looked kinda absorbed in the book he was reading. Big shock.

"I had a pretty surreal kind of morning," she said, coming over to the counter. Jenny grinned wryly. "But other than that? It's been good. You?" She set her laptop case down and leaned on the counter.

"Cordelia's a seer?" asked Jenny. She blinked. "Angel's got a link to the higher powers, and it's Cordelia?"

Jenny shrugged and took a drink of coffee, then set her cup down on the counter, well away from any books. "Martin?" She frowned, trying to remember any students named Martin. "Wait, you mean Marty Blank? And I don't know anyone named Artie."

She grinned at him. "May we all have your problems. I've got a class syllabus to revise, a field trip to chaperone, and somewhere in all of this, I've got to find time to pack--not to mention eat and sleep." She tilted her head and gave Rupert a curious look. "Oracle? Why an Oracle?"

Those guys could be kinda stuffy, or so she'd heard.

"Personally?" Jenny spread her hands and shrugged. "I've got no clue one way or another if the Slayer's supposed to be a cheerleader or the school's drama queen. You're the Watcher."

"And really, how can finding good Chinese ever be considered a bad?" Jenny frowned. "Which reminds me, that whole thing with food? Gotta do that soon."

At Rupert's question, Jenny chuckled. "You hadn't heard the school trip is to England? Tell me, will I know the Watchers by all the tweed they wear, or does everyone on that side of the ocean dress like that?"

Jenny snickered. "So what're your plans for the week?" she asked. "Spring break means a bunch of students heading home for visits with their families. You're gonna be even more bored then."

"Alphabetizing your books?" asked Jenny. She snickered again. "You never left the library, did you, Rupert?"

"Dinner?" Jenny's eyes list up and she smiled at him. "I'd love dinner. And of course I'll bring you Jaffa cakes, whatever the heck those are."

Interview

Lana comes into the store and looks for Giles. She's nicely dressed and looks a little nervous.

"Hi," she says when she sees him. "You said I should stop by this afternoon for an interview?"

She smiled at him. "Hello, Mr. Giles. I'm Lana Lang. I'm a sophomore at Fandom High."

"Actually yes. Back home in Smallville, I was part owner and manager of a coffeeshop called The Talon. I was responsible for pretty much every aspect of running the business; ordering, hiring and supervising employees, accounts payable and receivable, working in the shop; as well as preparing and presenting monthly reports on all of these areas for my business partner, Lex Luthor."

She smiles again. "It was a lot of work, but I enjoyed it and I was good at it. I'm looking for something less stressful and time-consuming here in Fandom, though."

[OOC: No problem. :) ]

"I'm free Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays till 1PM; Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays after 3PM, and Wednesdays after 4PM. I can also be free some Saturdays and Sundays, though I'd rather not work every weekend." She smiled hopefully at him.

[OOC: Hate to bug you, but did you want to finish this? Just wondering if Lana can tell people she has a job or not. :)
And how did the show go?]

"I'd need to leave a few minutes before one on Wednesdays and Fridays to get to my Forenseic class on time, but otherwise, yes. That would be wonderful." Lana smiled happily.

[OOC: Great! Ours did too!]
