Aereopagitica, Friday
The rare and used book store is open.
Giles is reading a book called Positive Signs. It is providing inexplicable insight into the last owner of the shop.

Also now he's gone she get the book she'd never been able to before, since Geoff hadn't written it yet.
"Hey, I was wondering if you had the Canterbury Tales?" she asks a little sadly

In the Afternoon
Re: In the Afternoon
The tea lost.
Mopping up, he noticed Jenny.
"Jenny!" His smile lit up his entire face. "How wonderful to see you. How have you been?"

"Other than that, things have been quiet.
"Oh! Martin came in yesterday. Higher than a kite. And Artie. Who was...Artie."
Giles sighed and slumped.
"It's been quiet. Too quiet. It's been I-went-to-New-York-on-Tuesday-to-try-and-find-an-Oracle quiet.
"I can't believe I'm about to actually say this.
"I'm bored."
Re: In the Afternoon
Jenny shrugged and took a drink of coffee, then set her cup down on the counter, well away from any books. "Martin?" She frowned, trying to remember any students named Martin. "Wait, you mean Marty Blank? And I don't know anyone named Artie."
She grinned at him. "May we all have your problems. I've got a class syllabus to revise, a field trip to chaperone, and somewhere in all of this, I've got to find time to pack--not to mention eat and sleep." She tilted her head and gave Rupert a curious look. "Oracle? Why an Oracle?"
Those guys could be kinda stuffy, or so she'd heard.
Re: In the Afternoon
"Oh, the oracle was part of my research on Cordelia's situation. I never found them. I did, however find incredible Chinese food.
"Yes, it was Marty Blank. Artie isn't a student. He's something of a local character.
"Chaparone? Where are you going? Anyplace good?"
Re: In the Afternoon
"And really, how can finding good Chinese ever be considered a bad?" Jenny frowned. "Which reminds me, that whole thing with food? Gotta do that soon."
At Rupert's question, Jenny chuckled. "You hadn't heard the school trip is to England? Tell me, will I know the Watchers by all the tweed they wear, or does everyone on that side of the ocean dress like that?"

Something she'd said finally filtered down into his consciousness.
"But how about dinner when you get back? And would you bring me back Jaffa cakes?"
Re: In the Afternoon
"Dinner?" Jenny's eyes list up and she smiled at him. "I'd love dinner. And of course I'll bring you Jaffa cakes, whatever the heck those are."
Interview
"Hi," she says when she sees him. "You said I should stop by this afternoon for an interview?"
Re: Interview
There was a pad and paper waiting on the table. Giles picked up the pen.
"Now then, I am Mr. Giles, owner and proprietor. What is your name?"

She smiles again. "It was a lot of work, but I enjoyed it and I was good at it. I'm looking for something less stressful and time-consuming here in Fandom, though."
[OOC: No problem. :) ]
Re: Interview
"You sound eminently qualified. What is your availability for work?"

Re: Interview
And how did the show go?]
Re: Interview
"Would you be comfortable with opening the store from 10 to, say, 1 on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday?"
Re: Interview
[OOC: Great! Ours did too!]
