Luke's Diner - Friday Evening

After meeting outside the Fandom High dorms, Weevil and Chloe headed to the diner for their date. He hoped it would go well because he really liked her.

"After you," he said, opening the door for her.

They made their way to a table.

Now that her thoughts were all her own again, Chloe felt much less nervous about this whole date.

Okay, she felt slightly less nervous. But at least she didn't have to worry about mental squealing.

"Such a gentleman," she remarked, smiling as she headed inside.

"Others might disagree with you," Weevil said, taking a seat.

"I'm going to assume those others haven't been on a date with you," Chloe replied with a smirk.

Weevil grinned. "No, I guess not."

"How was your week?" he asked curiously, making conversation.

Chloe had to stop for a second and think of exactly how to phrase it. "Well, it was a little more interesting than most, that's for sure. How was yours?"

"Quiet," Weevil replied. "I know, that's unusual for this town. Why was yours interesting?"

As she was about to try to divert the subject, Chloe remembered that Weevil actually knew Logan. Heh. "Logan Echolls tried to do some sort of spell. But it backfired and gave a bunch of people really, really weird powers."

Weevil shook his head. "Figures Echolls would be involved."

"I'm not at all surprised at your lack of surprise." Chloe snickers. "Luckily, some people figured out what was going on, and reversed it."

"What power did you end up with?"

"Um." Chloe blushed lightly. "It was a little weird. Basically, people who were near me could see and hear what I was thinking," she admitted.

Weevil grinned at her, finally understanding why she seemed so forward last weekend. "Sounds harmless enough."

The NPC employee who had handwave taken their orders finally brought out their food.

"How are classes?" Weevil continued to make conversation

"Luckily, it ended up being harmless, although I bet it could have gotten really bad. I'm just thankful that I didn't embarrass myself too much with my thoughts. And something positive came out of it, so..." Chloe grinned.

"Classes are about as good as classes can be." She snickered. "You'd think that taking odd classes would make them more interesting, but not always."

"Never thought I'd be grateful Echolls did something stupid," Weevil said with a grin.

Chloe grinned in return. "Me neither. I guess he can be good for something after all."

Weevil shook his head. "That really is crazy talk."

"You and Logan don't get along very well, do you?" Chloe asked, only partially teasing.

"No, not much at all," Weevil said, completely serious.
