Edmund is giving another novel a try. It could never be as stirring as "Edmund: A Butler's Tale," but "Nob and Nobility" was going quite well. If it ended better than the last novel by the same author, Edmund was considering not sending Baldrick to find the author and camp out on his doorstep.

First thing Thursday morning, Walter comes in, looking a bit buslagged, but ready to get back on Fandom time and with a definite purposeful look in his eye.

He goes through the shop and decimates the chocolate section, dropping bag after bag of Hershey's products into his basket, as well as a variety of other items that one might guess would be used to go with those products. He might be being sneaky about it so his boyfriend won't read this.

The floral tape, cellophane, flower pot, wrapping paper, and crafts odds and ends eat up the entirety of Walter's store credit and result in his having to actually give Blackadder cash for the first time in quite a while.

After taking care of his purchases, he leaves the shop heading in the general direction of Cafe Fina.

Nadia showed up sometime after Walter left. She was somewhat less directed in her shopping than he, and wanders the isles for a bit, hands shoved deep in her pockets, lips persed as she considers the items on offer.

Edmund watched the girl over the top of his book. "I have had bulk bins of glitter put in, should you need them."

Nadia blinked. "Actually, I don't need glitter today. Thanks, though. I'm looking for black hair dye and the hottest peppers you have."

Edmund put his book down and raised an eyebrow.

"Habanero peppers. Do you want them fresh?" he waved a hand toward the produce section. "Or dried?" Another handwave toward the spice aisle.

"Hair dye will be with the personal care products."

"Great. Thanks." Nadia grabbed both fresh and dried peppers, then jogged over and grabbed a box of dye. She looked around to see if there was anything else her meager expenses would cover that she desperately needed, and not seeing anything, shrugged and headed back up to the check out.

Edmund rang up Nadia's purchases and packaged them for her. "Is there anything else?"

"That's it, thanks." Nadia pulled out some cash, but kept it in her fist waiting for the total.

She still didn't quite trust Blackadder not to overcharge her for something if he saw she might have the money for it.

Edmund gave her the uninflated total and waited for her to unclench her fist enough to hand it over.

Satisfied that the total looked reasonable, Nadia handed over the money, just barely over exact change. Between this and London, she was going to be broke for awhile.

Still, it was time for a change and all that. And Pip had sounded interested in her cooking.

You'd think this girl knew Edmund personally. He returned his change without a comment and picked up his book once more.

Baldrick peeked around a corner, but everything seemed to be in hand. Although the girl had passed up a perfectly lovely special on turnips.
