"Phoebeeeee!" said Pippi scampering down from the stage where she and Nadia just finished their song.

"Wassat on yur arm?"

"Hi Phoebe!" Nadia peered at the cast. "Oooo! Where'd you get that? I want one!"

"Dr. Tommy gave it to me," she said to both Pippi and Nadia. "I have a marker for you guys to sign it, too." She handed Nadia the marker.

Nadia grabbed the marker and very, very carefully printed her name in large block letters on the side of Phoebe's cast. Then she drew a cat on it.

Becoming nine had not improved her drawing skills at all. It hadn't really detracted much from them, either.

"I. Want. One." Nadia said, firmly.

"That was really nice of Doctor Tommy!" Pippi said taking the marker. "Doctors is the nicest people!"

She signed the cast "Dread Pirate Pippi Longstocking"

Nadia frowned. "Doctors aren't nice. They stick you with needles and make you write things. Doctors suck."

Yeah, she has a suitcase full of gold coins, but it's the principle of the thing damnit.
