Jamie opens up the store for the public. Unfortunately the gnomes that had woke him up this morning have followed him to work and have taken over the store music system.

Apparently gnomes are fans of Slim Whitman.

This is going to be a long day.

Willow was up bright and early, and was in what some might discribe as an agressively good mood. "Hey, Jamie!"

"Hi Willow," Jamie said with a wave as he tried to push away a gnome that was grabbing on to his leg. "How are you today?"

Marie wasn't in quite as good of a mood as Willow, but she was looking forward to spending some girly bonding time with her roommate.

"Good morning, Jamie!" she greeted.

"Hey Marie," Jamie said still battling the gnome. "You and Willow doing the shopping thing today?"

"Yes," Marie confirmed before noticing Jamie's, um, problem.

She blinked. "What's that?"

"Not sure," Jamie grunted as the gnome climbed onto his shoulder and began to paw his face in a cute manner. "Woke up with them in our cabin this morning and they won't leave us alone."

Willow tilted her head to the side as she saw Jamie pushing at his leg. "Um, are you okay?"

Jamie managed to grab one of the gnomes that was clinging on to him and held them up. "Woke up with these things in our cabin this morning. They won't leave me alone."

"Did you try taking a shower?" Willow suggested.

"Yes. They enjoy the splashing very much," Jamie said trying to put that particular experience behind him. "I have a feeling this is the result of our little prank war with the meerkats."

"So why are you in such a good mood?" Marie asked as they browsed.

"Did you hear the radio?" Willow asked, smiling. "Peter was talking about me."

"So things are going well with him, I take it," Marie said, returning Willow's smile.

"There is wellness," Willow said. "There was not so wellness for a little while there, but we talked through it. Which is good because then there might not have been any talking at all and I wouldn't be talking about him right now."

"Are you two... you know, together, now?" Marie asked. "Or just still in the talking and hanging out phase?"

Nadia was still attempting to avoid thinking about the fact that her boyfriend was currently learning about sex from a hooker, and thus wandered into Empire Records. "Hey Jamie, Luca--what the hell are you listening to?"

"Some yodeling guy named Slim Whitman," Jamie grumbled as he tried to pull one of the gnomes off his pant leg. "This things apparently like them and keep changing the music back to play this song."

Nadia blinked. "What is that thing?"

"Gnomes. Apparently," Jamie grumbled as he tried to pull one out of the Lyle Lovett section in country music. "They showed up this morning and won't leave me alone."

"Huh. Tyler had one, too. I bet it is a Meerkat thing. Otherwise we'd all have them wandering around."

Mark arrived. And where Mark went, Marc couldn't be far behind. He wandered up, stared at the gnome, then laughed. "Dude. Hi."

"Hi. Can I help you?"

Mark looked around, then leaned in. "Dude, you have a thingy." He gestured vaguely in the general direction of the gnome. "Oh! And, um, I'm here to talk to Lucas."

"Yeah," Jamie said glaring at the gnome. "I know. Lucas isn't here. He went to some Rob Thomas concert last night."

Mark looked like his best friend had just run over his puppy and then died. "No way, man! Say it isn't so!" He looked down and to the side. "This requires action." He looked back at Jamie. "Dude, that thingy is so cool. Where'd you get it?"

Mark does not have the longest attention span in the world.
