Caritas - Open [6/1]

After spending the afternoon by the unlit campfire, chatting and enjoying the pirate's radio show, Veronica headed in to town to work.

The zombie band still had the steel drum and were now outfitted in Hawaiian shirts. She decided not to ponder that one too much for fear it would break her brain.

Cameron entered the bar, carrying his camera from the workshop while arguing with something near his feet. "No, you don't get to take any pictures. Aren't you tired of me yet?"

From where Veronica was standing, it looked like Cameron was talking to himself.

"Sorry, sir, but we can't serve visibly intoxicated people here," she joked.

"Not even lemonade?" Cameron asked. "I mean, I'm not drunk. Just frustrated," he scowled down at the gnome and took a seat.

Veronica leaned over the bar and spotted the gnome. She gave Cam a questioning look as she poured his lemonade.

"Don't ask me," Cameron sighed, he was doing that a lot today. "I woke up and it was there and it won't go away."

The gnome in the meanwhile had climbed on the chair next to Cameron and was standing on its tiptoes so he could just barely look over the counter and give Veronica a sad and thirsty look.

Veronica handed Cameron his drink and peered at the gnome. "You're a cute little guy," she said, wiggling a finger at him.

She looked up at Cam. "Do you need to feed him or anything?"

"He's a got a beard, I'm assuming he's old enough to feed himself," Cameron eyed the gnome. The gnome eyed him right back.

Giving in, Cameron looked back at Veronica. "Do you have any clue what wee people eat or drink?"

Weevil decided to stop by to visit Veronica. "Yo, V."

"Hey," Veronica greeted him with a grin. "What brings you out on this dark and stormy night?"

"Thought I'd stop by, see how you're doing," Weevil said. "Could go for a beer, too. A real one this time..."

"I'm doing great," Veronica said, grabbing a bottle of Weevil's favorite beer and placing it in front of him. "My workshop is going well. How's everything with you?"

"Can't complain," Weevil said simply. "What sorts of crazy things you making the students do anyway?"

"Nothing crazy," Veronica insisted. "I give them three prompts a week and they have to take pictures that fit each prompt. And they can be as creative as they want."

Pip walked into the bar, soaking wet, followed by several people. "Hi Veronica. I brought friends."

Demyx followed right behind him, practically walking on his heels. "Hi!" He waved at the person behind the bar.

Seras walked in and looked around.

She started slightly at the sight of the band and then followed Pippi and ordered a pint.

She didn't have work or worshops tomorrow, after all.

Demyx,thankfully, didn't have workshops tomorrow either. He pondered what to get, then finally decided on a Long Island iced tea.
