All and Sundries//Wednesday Morning
Seras was seated behind the counter and everything looked quite usual in All and Sundries. Apart from the fact that the vodka display had disappeared. And, the rum display. And pretty much any fermented beverage, really. Waking up with a brutal hang over and nearly no recollection of the past day tended to put a gal off her booze.

Ergo, he was in All and Sundries, mulling over his options with an increasingly perplexed expression. In the end, he chose the least expensive one and hoped it would work.
Not that he had a clue about CD-R compatibility.

"Hullo! Are you finding everything you need?"

He held up the small CD player stereo almost self-consciously as he headed for the counter.

"That'll do you then. Or at least, I think it will. CDs were just starting to really replace tapes where..er, when I'm from."
Seras looked at him a moment, trying to place his face.
"It's...Archie, isn't it?"
no subject
"That's right," he said, pleasantly surprised that she remembered his name. "I'm terribly sorry I can't put a name to your face though. You'd think I could."
no subject
"Well, I won't make you stand there and try to guess," she said, holding out her right hand, "My name's Seras Victoria."
Her mind registered that Archie'd just said he was from the 18th century, but it wasn't the jaw dropper it would have been a couple weeks ago. Seras was adapting.

He reached over and picked up several bars of dark chocolate to add to his order, giving Seras a puckish grin as he did.

"So, what do you think of modern music?" she aske, "I imagine it's quite a change from what you'd heard in the 18th century."

As he fished in his coat pockets for his wallet, he added, "I've liked much of what I've heard so far, but again it isn't much. Although I confess that song about being brave like soldiers . . ." He shuddered a bit.

"Well, you're an Englishman, so you should become acquainted with the Beatles. It's practically the law. Listening to some David Bowie, Billy Idol, or U2 wouldn't hurt either."
She looked at Archie's clothing. It was militaryish, and yet...
"Not a fan of war songs?"

"My pleasure, Lieutenant. Please, come again."

"The pleasure was mine. Perhaps I'll see you at Caritas again sometime soon?"

"I hope so," she said, trying her best not to let her smile falter at the mention of a bar.
She had no intention of drinking so soon after Tuesday's scare. But, she could always have soda. And, the karaoke was fun.
