Luke's Diner [5 PM FHT]

Rory had done good work, as usual, and the diner was decorate with blue streamers and balloons.

But no glitter. That's what Jaye was for.

Lorelai laughs. "Did anyone ever figure out what caused you all to be wee?"

"Nope. And I don't really care. It was fun," she says, looking at her glittery hands.

"I had fun playing with all you guys," Lorelai admits. "But I'm really kind of glad you got turned back to normal."

"What, you think a school full of toddlers might have been a little much?"

"I don't think I'd want to have to raise my daughter again," Lorelai says. "Besides, I'm counting on all of you to be baby sitters."

"Oh, that kid's going to have fuuuuuuun," Jaye grins.

"Just don't break him," Lorelai requests.

"I won't. No breaking the baby. Got it."

"So, hey, since the last time I saw you was when you were four," Lorelai says, "I actually wanted to ask you something. I'm not going to be teaching business next year. There doesn't seem to really be an interest in it. Instead I'm going to teach a class designed to introduce people from other times and places to current culture. I'm going to need a TA who knows what's going on."

Jaye grins. "I do know what's going on..." she says.

Lorelai grins back. "Does that mean you're interested?"

"Yuh huh," she says.

"Great!"

"Yay! I'm actually going to- gasp- look forward to a class!"

Lorelai laughs. "Once this little guy is born, you'll have to come over to the house and help me come up with lesson plans. I figure I'll need to cover basic technology, holidays and pop culture, for sure."

"Holidays will be fun, since we have about eight million of them," she considers.

"That is so very true. How do you explain Arbor Day to someone from another planet? What if they don't even have trees on their planet?"

"Make one of them dress up as a tree and say why they're cool?" Jaye suggests.

"And this would be why I wanted you as a TA," Lorelai says.
